packaging design The challenge of this project was in creating a unique approach to the packaging of an everyday object. This makeup package was created as a rugged alternative to the typical sleek and elegant packaging design while still maintaining a balance of quality created by a reference to historical motifs.
drawing type This project drew on vintage hand-painted signage to create a new typeface. This began through sketching glyphs and creating a cohesive look across 26 uppercase letters, to eventually create a useable font.

digital natives and immigrants website & illustrations The digital world has dramatically influenced how we live each and every day, requiring some of us to adapt while others grew up learning how to utilize digital software and technology. This concept led to research and a display of information to draw further attention and understanding to the ways in which digital natives work and live differently than digital immigrants. The execution of an informative website allows users to learn more about this topic.

digital habits journal This journal was created as an extension to the Digital Natives Vs. Immigrants project, further observing the amount of time spent using technology. The point of the journal was to allow users to understand the scope of their reliance on technology and inspire individuals to “unplug” more often when it isn’t necessary to be online or on the phone.
digital natives and immigrants video This video displayed the ways in which digital natives live and think differently than immigrants. Animations and vector illustration introduced the story of Joe and his father, Steve, personifications of the “typical� native and immigrant. This video also provided statistics and information regarding the ways each group utilizes technology.

social cause postage stamps This stamp collection assesses the variety of issues, laws and people that pushed for change in the realm of the United States public education system, in order to better provide for our society as a whole. The design aethetics include a historic, typographic nod to the New England Primer, one of our nation’s first textbooks, as well as a bright and friendly color palette.
lied center materials This variety of pieces, is a sample of work done to translate the Lied Center 2015–2016 branding to an array of materials for print, web and screen to advertise for upcoming shows and events.
jacht recruitment The UNL student ad agency, Jacht, created a campaign to recruit new staff for upcoming semesters. As chalkboard drawings are a large component of Jacht’s internal tone (used frequently in blog photography) this was utilized in the visual voice of this campaign. An iconography system was created to describe each position and a copywriter to created written content to accompany each icon. These were used on posters, foam boards, and throughout social media, resulting in a total of 85 applicants, an increase of 25 from previous totals.
carson book This book was designed for the Johnny Carson Foundation. After their recent donation and renovation of the Johnny Carson Theater at the Lied Center for Performing Arts, the Lied’s Executive Director requested a memorial book to thank this team. The books highlighted both the pre- and post-renovation theater and lobby, quotes and stories from various people involved in the theater renovation process, and features on the diverse uses of the Carson Theater. Note cards were also designed to accompany this gift.
