A GLIMPSE INSIDE THE CREATIVE JOURNAL AND MIND OF TAYLOR BOGLE.

MY NAME IS TAYLOR. I HAVE A LOVE FOR GRAPHIC DESIGN, STORIES, AND LEARNING.TURN THE PAGE AND GET BETTER ACQUAINTED WITH MY CREATIVE THOUGHT PROCESS.

THIS MIGHT BE A GOOD PLACE TO START

STEP ONE I USUALLY START MY PROCESS BY SKETCHING OUT AND WRITING DOWN MY INITIAL IDEAS TO CLEAR THE OBVIOUS AND CHEESY IDEAS OUT OF MY HEAD.

STEP TWO I MAKE LOTS OF LISTS.THESE LISTS RANGE FROM QUESTIONS I NEED ANSWERED TO ADJECTIVES THAT DESCRIBE THE ATTITUDE OF THE OBJECT I’M CREATING OR DESIGNING. SOMETIMES EVEN MY GROCERY LIST GETS WRITTEN INTO MY SKETCHBOOK.

STEP THREE I’M A RESEARCHER.TO DESIGN FOR ANYTHING, TO DO ANYTHING, I HAVE TO KNOW WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT AND UNDERSTAND THE FIELD, THE AUDIENCE, AND THE ATTITUDE. MANY TIMES THIS WORKS REALLY WELL WITH STEP TWO. FOR THIS SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENT, IT WAS A LOT OF PERSONAL DIGGING INTO MY HEART, CREATING MORE LISTS REGARDING MYSELF AND TRYING TO UNDERSTAND WHY I CREATE THE WAY I DO.

STEP FOUR WITH NEW AND CLARIFIED KNOWLEDGE IN MIND, I GO BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD AND THINK OF NEW IDEAS. AS I SKETCH, I EXPAND AND REFINE TO PREPARE THE PLANS FOR EXECUTION.

STEP FIVE FROM THERE, I TAKE MY FINAL SKETCH AND TURN IT INTO REALITY.
