Thomas Birke

I am an urban photographer. I try to capture the essence of megacities within a single shot. To achieve this, I currently use 8x10 large format photography, to be able to resolve the tinyest details. The images are drumscanned at 600 megapixels and printed to 225x180 cm. You can approach them up close to a few centimetres and will still discover new details. A 1000 stories in every picture. That's why you've got to see them live!
