ISLAMOPHOBIA IN VIDEO GAMES
3
ISLAMOPHOBIA IN VIDEO GAMES Why are such messages given in a hidden and stealthy manner? Our experience, culture, traditions, national and moral values to date will prevent messages that are disrespectful and libelous from being engraved in our subconscious when given in an explicit fashion. Therefore, video game producers give messages (image, sound etc.) in an indistinguishable manner on a totally different dimension of the focus point in particular. Engraved in a hidden way, such negative subconscious messages engross the mind of our children in such a manner that they spiritually poison them and manage their subconscious in an explicit way. Perception operations are in effect. The legitimization process is under way.

Islamophobia Islamophobia colloquially means "fear of Islam" and results from prejudice and discrimination against Muslims and Islam. Islamophobia dates back to the conquest of Andalusia and goes into more depth following the Crusades. Regarded as enemies after the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, Marxism and Communism lost their functions. Then, a need arose for a new enemy that is to say "another one". This new enemy is "Islamic Countries". Islamophobia has intensified and assumed stationarity in time and become more popular within the past decade. All the resources have been mobilized and a perception management has been put into effect to eviscerate Islam. This type of management is still in effect in an attempt to take Islam and Muslims off the global agenda. A goal is pursued to make sure that "the negative perception of Islam" is set in stone. Some efforts have been exerted to normalize the fearful attitudes and banalize the hatred and hostility towards Muslims. Negative subconscious messages are disseminated among young people by means of television and movies that occupy us to a large extent as well as computers and tablets that we cannot do without or smart mobile phones that we are glued to.

Why do they enhance Islamophobia in digital video games? What Should Muslims Do to Protect Themselves From Such a Poison? Digital video games are equipped with hostility towards Islam and Muslims. Such games are put to use as an instrument to spread Islamophobia. The reason behind it is the fact that players serve as a protagonist and play an active role in digital video games. When someone watches a movie, he/she witnesses a person defined as a terrorist killed. However, players play the role of a soldier in video games and kill a Muslim defined as a terrorist and gain awards/points as they kill Muslims. It is obvious that such video games are dominated by Islamophobia. As a matter of fact, it is not Islamophobia but hostility towards Islam. Rapidly-spreading video games witness a "massacre of Muslims" and impose "hostility towards Islam".
6
At this stage, it is pertinent to remind a particular verse: "Indeed, those who disbelieve spend their wealth to avert [people] from the way of Allah. So they will spend it; then it will be for them a [source of] regret; then they will be overcome. And those who have disbelieved - unto Hell they will be gathered" (Surah Al-Anfal, Verse 36) Such games constitute an impediment for people to get to know Islam as sent by Allah. Created through video games, this image of Muslims is about committing murders, Muslims killing Muslims, stealing cars, robbing people, engaging in woman trafficking and committing adultery. This is a process of murder legitimizing the perception operations carried out to turn haram (forbidden) to halal (permissible). It is time to expose such subconscious efforts and lay them bare. Muslims must introduce a type of control mechanism against such hostility towards the Islamic world.
7
Al-Qur'an al-Kareem reads: And do not weaken in pursuit of the enemy. If you should be suffering - so are they suffering as you are suffering. But you expect from Allah that which they expect not. And Allah is ever Knowing and Wise." (Surah An-Nisa/Verse 104). Based on this verse, we have to play our part, awaken to the attacks leveled at our Religion and put a stop to this war waged against the Muslims. We think that we make our children happy by buying video games for them without checking or following them up. However, we must awaken to the hidden hostility since we poison our own generation by means of digital video games. Our failure in taking measures on time and keeping tabs on weapons and tactics that are put to use in fight against Islam and Muslims stands for negligence and delay in following the orders of Qur'an. It is because Qur'an does not tolerate any slack in following up a hostile tribe.

We have sought to focus on a broad network of information about Islamophobia by launching a website: www.gamesislamophobia.com This website provides information about the subconscious management efforts and portrays digital video games featuring Islamophobia in an explicit manner. This portal is intended to inform players, parents and young people, who have no awareness of the perception management, of plots laid against Islam and protect them from the poison of Islamophobia. The website also features a reporting section for users to report any disrespectful and derogatory acts in digital video games. Thus, we plan to eliminate such poisons by kicking off a mass movement.
