BUSINESS OF THE MONTH

Coastal Ice & Water

6004 N. Shepherd Drive, Houston, TX 77091 281-455-4803

Coast Ice & Water is a first-class, on-site deliverer of hydration products since 1991. The company is an award-winning family business that delivers national brands with the backing of ownership.

Owner Scott McAlister had the vision to create a company that would represent large national names but still give you small business service without compromise. He wanted to provide a service that still felt personal and has built that vision into every aspect of the business.

Coastal Ice is Houston’s largest wholesaler of commercial ice and water. The business has the largest delivery fleet in the industry and can quickly develop a customized plan to fit your company. The company provides Sparkle Purified Bottled Water, electrolytes, hydration stations, ReddyIce, ice merchandisers and boxes.

Coastal Ice & Water now offers sustainable solutions to hydrate your workforce and effectively reduce plastic waste onsite. The company offers a “Water Rig,” which is a multi-step reverse-osmosis mobile water treatment

plant on wheels that plugs directly into a water source that delivers up to 6,000 gallons a day. The water from this mobile treatment plant is then transported to the “Refresh’R” kiosks, where craft workers can safely consume chilled water. The Refresh’R kiosks are sanitary, hands-free, foot-pedal-triggered water distribution kiosks for craft workers.

Coastal Ice & Water has created a plan to reduce onsite plastic waste. The company takes the plastic that you utilize on your job site. With your help, they collect the plastic, consolidate it and then resell it to a third-party partner that gives the plastics a new life. The profits are then invested in the Coastal Ice & Water Foundation, which supports the continuing education of members of their industry.

Coastal Ice & Water is a dedicated supporter of the TCLM Chamber of Commerce. The business helps the Chamber at many events by providing hydration stations, bottled water and ice. Kudos to this Business of the Month! Learn more online at www.coastal-ice.com.
