Energy Storage Batteries and Fuel Cell Batteries Applications Forum
B
alancing power supply and demand is always a complex process. According to Industry insiders, replacing about one in 10 cars of the around six million in Taiwan with EVs would save the Taiwan Power Co. the cost to build a new nuclear power plant. In addition, business opportunities generated from the shift, such as intelligent metering, circuit changes and related hardware/software, would be very lucrative. All major nations are researching separating energy storage facilities, and Taiwan should step up efforts to become a major player to tap more business opportunities in the future. Key speakers from Inventec, ITRI/IEK and Amita Technologies will base their topic on the recent development of worldwide ESS battery market and the applications of stacking cells in energy storage system (ESS). A panel discussion to exchange opinions of the challenges and opportunities for energy storage batteries will also be one of the highlights. Green Hydrotec Inc. Dr. M.H. Rei will carry on in the afternoon forum to talk about the onsite production of fuel cell system for the development of hydrogen village. An expert from Asia-Pacific Fuel Cell Technologies Inc. will also join in on the podium with Light Fuel Cell Scooter Development Status in Taiwan. This is a topic of great interest as Taiwan is known for its high percentage of scooter ownership. The forum will have a 10-minute Q&A session before closing. The Energy Storage Batteries and Applications Forum takes place on the 5th floor of Conference Room 501 at NANGANG Exhibition Hall from 9:30AM – 12PM on Tuesday (Oct. 9, 2012) followed by the Fuel Cell Batteries and Applications Forum later in the afternoon also in the same conference room from 2PM – 4PM. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get an inside scoop of Taiwan’s latest achievements in green technology!
