Superintendent Dean Holden in a statement following the incident said preliminary reports have revealed that four males were leaving the entertainment establishment when they were shot at.

He said: “One male is dead and four other males received medical attention for injuries sustained from the attack.

“This remains an active investigation and inquiries are ongoing.”

Commissioner of Police (ag) Rodney Adams in condemning the attacks said the incident occurred against a targeted group in full view of innocent bystanders.

He said: “These criminals continue to show their brazenness and disdain and lack of respect for life. The RTCIPF will leave no stone unturned in pursuing and bringing these cowardly individuals to justice.” person may also stop sweating as they go into heat stroke.

Adams appealed to anyone who has any information, to share it with the authorities by notifying the closest police station, 911 or TCI at Crime Stoppers at 1-8008477 and give any information on this murder or any illegal activity anonymously.

“Take advantage of airconditioned spaces and remain hydrated’, the Ministry stressed.

TIPS TO STAY COOL AND REDUCE THE RISK OF HEAT-RELATED ILLNESSES

1. Stay hydrated and drink lots of non-alcoholic liquids

2. Reduce caffeine intake

3. Limit physical exertion and take frequent breaks, or limit your activities to the early morning or evening when it’s typically cooler outside

4. Wear light, loose clothing, including a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen – SPF 15 or higher

5. Take cool showers or baths to cool down.

6. Check on a friend or neighbor and have someone do the same for you.

7. Never leave children or pets in cars.

8. Eat food with a high water content like strawberries, cucumber, celery, and lettuce, to help keep you hydrated and cool in summer weather.
