As an additional support to AGM delegates, the Federation has a registered clinical counsellor available during the meeting to provide an individual debrief session on request. Delegates can reach out directly and the provider will respond to schedule a time. Services are confidential.

Ronak’s approach to counselling is person-centered, trauma-informed and culturally competent. She supports clients by helping them draw from their existing strengths, develop self-compassion and gain emotional understanding. Her approach offers a compassionate, authentic, safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore and understand their current problems. Her philosophy is rooted in the belief that individuals can change, heal and grow despite their present challenges. She understands that each client’s problems are shaped by their personal stories and experiences, and therefore takes a therapeutic strategy tailored to each client’s unique needs, values, culture, interests and abilities.
Ronak works with clients facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, intergenerational trauma, life changes, relational issues, self-esteem and worth, personal growth, as well as feelings of guilt and shame. She has experience working with individuals facing multiple barriers from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. She has extensive experience working with youth, immigrant and Indigenous populations.
Ronak supports clients by helping them discover the possibilities within themselves, and find hope, courage, strength, meaning and connections as they shift from surviving to thriving.
