The graphs show the Prize Money Percentage Increase for every two years from 2000 to 2008.

For the first time in 2007, the prize money for women and men became the same for Singles and Doubles.

For example, in Men's Doubles, the Winners received $220 690 in 2006, a 2.6% increase from 2004, when they won $215 000.

Prior to 2007, women received less prize money than men in Singles and Doubles.

By far, the Singles events attract the highest prize money.

In 2000, the Australian Tennis Open Singles Men's Champion won $477 500, the Singles Women's Champion won $430 000 and the total prize money pool was $8 056 480. In 2000, the Mixed Doubles Winners shared $83 100. This grew to $92 000 in 2008.
