VERTEBRATES They have:

 Bones  A spinal column  A body divided into: head, torso, limbs, and some of them have tail. They are divided into five groups:


MAMMALS

 Reproduction: viviparous.  Skin coverage: fur  Body: four legs, tail.  Movement: walk, run.  Habitat: mostly land.  Diet: carnivore, herbivore or omnivore.


 Giraffe

Cheetah


Dolphins and whales live in the water. They don´t have legs but they are viviparous. They are mammals.

Bats have wings and fly, but they are viviparous. They are mammals.


BIRDS

 Reproduction: oviparous.  Skin coverage: feathers.  Body: beak, wings, tail.  Movement: fly.  Habitat: land.  Diet: carnivore, herbivore or omnivore. Pelican


Vulture

Penguins are aquatic birds. They can’t fly. They swim very well.


FISH

 Reproduction: oviparous.  Skin coverage: scales.  Body: fins, gills.  Movement: swim.  Habitat: water.  Diet: carnivore, herbivore or omnivore. Shark

AMPHIBIANS

 Reproduction: oviparous.  Skin coverage: uncovered skin.  Body: babies and adults have different body parts and shapes.  Movement: swim and hop.  Habitat: water and land.  Diet: mostly carnivore.
