TEA MAKES FRIENDS

While exploring Istanbul’s Karaköy neighborhood, we happened upon Nihat Usta’s studio. Inside, every surface and wall is adorned with paintings (mainly birds and portraits). Over strong Turkish coffee (and with the help of a translation app) we became friends. We’re thrilled to introduce you to Usta’s work this fall, featured on two charming graphic tees.

A woodworker and painter, Usta creates stunning gouache paintings on scraps of wood left over from his furniture projects.
