Hi, Its Bailey Monarch. I am the walk coordinator for the Tampa Bay NEDA walk. I would like to invite you again to participate in a fabulous marketing and philanthropic opportunity – the Tampa Bay NEDA Walk. I am now a typical 19 year old freshman at college; but three and a half years ago, I found myself engulfed by a disease that I knew nothing about – anorexia. As part of my recovery, I wanted to unite the Tampa Bay community to raise awareness of eating disorders so that no one would have to face the pain and suffering that my family and I had to endure. In 2011, I created the first Tampa Bay NEDA walk and had 351 walkers and raised just under $34,000. In 2012, Tampa Bay, together with the sponsors, again rose to the challenge. Because of people like you,Tampa Bay's Second Annual National Eating Disorders Association Walk had 426 walkers and raised over $65,000! This year we hope to far surpass that number! However, I would love to have more treatment centers sponsor, form teams, and get involved in the walk. I want people that are struggling to be able to meet the professionals, have some one to talk to, and hopefully find the appropriate treatment center to jhelp them begin their journey to recovery. Over the past year, we have been contacted by many people who are struggling and don't know where to turn. My goal is for everyone struggling to be able to find help and support. I have attached the marketing brochure for this year. The walk will take place February 16, 2013. Please feel free to forward it to anyone who may be interested. Ironman now has a new division dedicated to the involvement of triathlon clubs . A initial club meeting was held for Florida Triathlon Clubs. We were represented by Mark Davis & Nicole Davis, Team Psych Triathlon club cofounders at the first meeting of club representatives at Ironman World Headquaters. Yes, they are getting into the marketing of the Ironman and 70.3 Triathlon events to triathlon clubs around the world. We will be catorgorized for competition based on our club size. That gets back to the importance of keeping your membership renewed so that we have an accurate representation of the size of our club. There will be perks awarded to clubs when Ironman tallies how many register for an event based on the club represented.

Well, Team Psych’s El Fuego is at it again. Giving away the Team Psych Booty. On behalf of the team the mascot, El Fuego is giving $225 to team charity, Success 4 Kids & Families. This program helps give guidance and counseling services to children, teens, and families that could not otherwise afford assistance.

February 22 & 23. Volunteers needed Friday 10:00 am—6:00PM. Saturday 8:00 am— 4:00PM Your ideas on how to present ourselves, your volunteering at the booth particularly helpful. Does anyone have a woman mannequin or blow up doll that is g rated that could model our outfit? Last year we Tattoo’ed nearly 1500 runners , How many this year ? Come volunteer and help out at the expo and the 5K & 15K Water Stop.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED LAST WATER STOP Gasparilla Distance Classic Saturday February 23rd 5K & 15K Come volunteer and help out at the 5K & 15K Water Stop. For three years we have manned the last water stop at the Gasparilla. Last year folks flashed us their tattoos, Yelled Aaarrggh at us, and some just wanted water. BEGINNER BIKE RIDES February 9 March 10 April 20 May 19 June 15 July 14 August 17 September 15 October 12 These rides will be in the 15-25 mile range. They will vary in locations. The goal is to develop skills in riding. There will be a experienced team member that will agree to keep the beginner rider on track to the end of the ride. There is no excuse to say you have to be stronger or more experienced. the point of these rides is to help the beginner or novice athlete become a triathlete and elevate skills in riding for the beginning triathlete.
