DEFINING THE GROUP: CREATE YOUR CHARTER

Write a Meaningful Mission Statement We seek to maximize the level of service we provide to both donors and stakeholders and increase overall philanthropic support for the University. We intend to leverage best practices to standardize processes and procedures, and facilitate donor‐centered fundraising and stewardship efforts.

State Your Scope SWAG will provide business decisions related to campus‐wide donor relations and stewardship policies and procedures. Our goal is to build greater efficiency and effectiveness in our efforts and to encourage, recognize and support GW’s relationships with its donors to maximize sustainable philanthropic support. The working group will engage stakeholders from across the campus with stewardship and donor relations responsibilities. We will focus on ways we can all work together to ensure high-quality, coordinated and consistent donor relations activities across the GW campus as we work to become a more donor-centric organization.
