The Up-Plastic Kampala team consists of one student team of 6 from Makerere University in Kampala, and one student team of 5 from Aalto University in Finland, working together to contribute to solving environmental and social issues in Uganda, part of which are solid waste problems and youth unemployment. To recycle plastic waste is the project’s main focus by creating a recycling workspace and student community at Makerere University.
