序 言 Preface
2000春 大雋始立,競競業業十二載,但有未竟之功,一則諸案仍見疏漏,二則團隊亦必精進,回顧以往,反省自惕,欲承先啟後,便興起整理作品集的 念頭了。幾年來,多呈現四類作品,分別為廠辦、學校、住宅及休閒類案件,尤以廠辦類居多: 廠辦 生財之器,性價、動線及保修為要。性價,指性能價格比,俗又大碗其實是有機會的;動線,貨暢其流,指生產流程、倉儲及自動化管理等, 務必與廠方再三模擬使其順暢;保修,即使用保養,訂立維護權責、頻率及費用,確保運轉正常及延長使用年限。 學校 育才之所,環境、互動及彈性為要。環境,大環境也,為自然環境,亦為人文環境,順勢利導方為上策;互動,教學設施設備應能使師生,甚或 自然生態產生互動,強化學習效能;彈性,指空間運用彈性,能隨時間推移適應不同教學需求。 住宅 養生之地,適性、寧合及共生為要。適性,適應其性也,為因應其家庭願望而生的居所,其願恢弘,或中庸,或小巧皆從其願,但求甚解;寧合, 安寧凝合也,安身立命處應心境安寧,家人凝合;共生,為人、建築與自然,如能與時俱進,相生相成,居其所若居大小山水,豈不福地乎? 休閒 川流不息,區隔、延伸及服務為要。區隔,市場區隔也,從企劃階段即投入調查及研究,求一戰即勝;延伸,即空間使用的延伸意境及想像, 提升附加價值;服務,即顧客至上,服務至上,精確的掌握使用者需求,低調而謹慎地提供相對應的空間及設施,希望達到”服務於無形” 之境界,優遊其間,好不自在。

2000 Spring TE&C has been established for twelve years since spring, 2000. Our team grows continuously by accumulating old experiences and learning new skills. While collecting this pofolio, we look back these hard years and find out many places could be improved in view of today.
Our projects can be classified into four different types: factory, education, residence, and leisure buildings, especially factories.
Factories are tools of earning money. Cost performance, circulation, and maintenance should be the top priorities. Firstly, it is possible to build a highly performance factory with low price by controlling the CP ratio. Secondly, circulations, including production line, storage, and automatic management, should be smoothly arranged. Finally, maintenance, including its frequency, cost, and responsibilities, should be scheduled at the beginning to extend its durability.
Education building is the place for acquiring knowledge and mental training. Environment, interaction, and flexibility should be the top priorities. Firstly, environments, including the nature and cultural environment, should root from the existing context. Secondly, interactions among facilities, teachers, and even the ecosystem will help students to learn diversely. Finally, flexibilities in usages and time should easily rearrange to fit the different teaching mode.
Home is a place of refuge and rest. Personality, family gathering, and coexistence should be the main issue. Firstly, personality characterizes a unique individual space which is the matter of appropriate, not size. Secondly, gathering place, a clam, safe, and private space, is the core of ordinary life. Finally, a place where people coexist with the nature and advance with the time is the best to live in.
Leisure place is the gathering of flux. Difference, extension, and service should be considerated carefully. Firstly, Difference which plays the most important role in the market assessments should be discovered and defined at the very beginning. Secondly, extension space, an additional value of use, can flexibly arrange each space. Finally, service means to observe the need of customers precisely, but react gently and prudently, even invisible.

白派建築 / 最大輸送帶製造廠 說起鑫永銓,說起林季進董長,為本所最重要的起點,沒有鑫永銓,沒有大雋,十 幾年來,亦師亦友的林董,仍不斷鞭策我們專注本業、精進向前,事務所經營 多有困頓,他是一直是那盞明燈。 本案位於南投南崗工業區,占地四公頃,樓地板面積八千餘坪,為東南亞最大 輸送帶製造廠,亦為南投上市公司楷模,雖為傳統製造業工廠,其重視廠區環 境的程度為他人不能及,其間綠草如茵,多有參天大木,貫穿廠內的排水濬溝 美化成生態河,廠務室化身玻璃屋隱沒於林間……等等,並多次榮獲全國綠美 化冠軍,用心程度有目共睹,業主希望藉由「花園工廠」反映企業的永續形 象,提升團隊競爭力及向心力,同時提供員工工作之餘沁涼的綠意。 企業歷史館延伸尊重環境議題,以「大板根」為意象發展,塑造入口氛圍,並 延續至中庭接待區。露天中庭的留設使自然光線及氣流來回穿梭,並有「迎 客松」坐鎮其中,送往迎來,蒼勁有力。整體來說,本案為廠房與環境結合呼 應的經典案例,此舉讓生冷的廠房友善起來,居間的使用者無形中產生認同 感,進而產生榮譽感,至此,任何代價也就值得了。
This project is located in Nan-Gang Industry Area, Nantou City. The factory is the biggest conveyor belt manufacturing factory in south-east Asia. The area covers 40,000 square meters, and total floor area is 8,000 square meters. Although Hsin-Yung-Chien is a traditional manufacturing company, its campus environment has been protected by designing carefully. The ground surface is covered by large amount of green; great density of trees are planed along with drive way in order to cool down the radiant heat; the ground draining system, which created an ecological river, goes through entire factory area. Those great efforts have been admired, winning National Green Honor several times. The purpose of client is to sustain a great company image, and improve employees’ competitiveness and the sense of belonging by providing a comfortable working environment. In the company history hall, a courtyard has been left, bringing nature light and ventilation into interior space.
In short, the factory is designed to integrate with its
surrounding environment, which showing a friendly image that a traditional factory doesn’t have, becoming a comfortable place for the users and employees.

三原色 / 印刷廠 說起健豪,真是無人不知無人不曉,就是媒體上 每年尾牙送員工百萬名車的公司,企業主張總為 人海派,雄才大略不說,回饋社會及母校更是不 遺餘力,有幸與其共事,深感榮幸。 本案利用印刷三色套繪的概念,正立面大牆垂直 錯置不同模矩的外飾材料(30*60岩面磚),看似 無意的錯落卻深層蘊含簡單的秩序,再者,呼應 企業從事印刷最基本的概念,以簡單(原色、原 型)表現千變萬化的產品,構成企業價值的形象 。附屬建築如機房.警衛室等,亦以相同序列,但 不同建材(玻璃.瓷磚等)與主建物呼應,統整廠區 建築格調,同中求異,主次分明,相得益彰。
Gain-How’s CEO, Mr. Zaung, is a celebrity on this place because of his contribution to the society. Having the chance to work with him is a great honor. The design uses the idea of the three primary colors. By using a 30cm by 60cm stone brick as a module to compound the façade, it has randomly created a complexity, but limited within a simple order. Moreover, the façade complexity speaks how simple things like primary colors and prototypes can be transformed into hundreds and thousands products.
That is, a valuable
spirit of enterprise has been visualized. Buildings like the mechanical room and the security room are secondary buildings. Those buildings are made by different materials such as glasses and tiles, but they maintain the same design language to uniform the entire facility.

鋼鐵雕塑 / 鋼材製造廠 冷硬鐵材經淬鍊加工終成特殊鋼材,強度、韌度及變形量都得到控制,形體上若加以雕琢,展現 鐵材堅毅、可塑、大器之特性,以「鋼鐵雕塑」之姿呈現,使得整體企業形象加入藝術性的元素 ,更顯雋永。本案位處南科,相對於園區內其他建築規模尚小,故以「廠辦合一」策略,將辦公樓 與廠房結合,集中正面力道,呈現前述意象,但由於廠內天車使用易造成結構體晃動,故辦公樓與 廠房結構分離配置,避免噪音震動對辦公區的影響。此外,鐵材置放區有大荷重,適度的地質改 良將有效避免地盤中長期沉陷對結構造成威脅,為長治久安之計。
Casting process can eventually transform iron into steel. A cold and stiff iron is able to be molded as an aesthetic sculpture. Our goal in this project is to transform the beauty of iron into a sculpture building, and the spirit shall give the company a meaningful image. The project is located in Southern Taiwan Science Park, in comparison to other factories in the park, it has smaller scale. Therefore, we combine both office building and factory facility together to provide one-piece façade, which refers to the casting iron and present the image of company. We then separate the structure of office building and manufacturing factory to avoid the shake coming from the bridge crane. Besides, material storage area needs to carry heavy load. For the safety, the soil improvement technic uses to avoid the subsidence, and keeps entire structure away from the damage.

膠帶 / 工業膠帶製造廠 本案以業主產品「膠帶」為概念出發,採用膠帶本身帶狀與連續的特性,構成全區的配置及主體建物 造型。並順應坡地地形,將企業生產線流暢配置,儼然成就巨龍形象。 本案位處南投南崗工業區,佔地五公頃餘,基地高低落差十餘米,配置上採用「龍抬頭」策略,將辦公 樓置於「龍頭」位,並利用廠房本身十米高度填塞於原地形十米落差之間,廠房落成後,廠區由上而下 延伸,儼如平地,而龍頭(辦公樓)則拔地而起,睥睨四周。此外,廠內「自動倉」的設置,有效處理物料及
Tape is the Major product of the client, Koan Hao, and it becomes the design concept. The idea adopts the bending and continuous feature of tape to layout the site plan and building form. This project is located in the Nan-Gang Industry Area in Nantou City in which has a 50,000 square meters site area with a steep slope over 10 meters. In order to have a connection to the landscape, the whole facility is divided into two parts: Manufacturing area and office area. The manufacturing area is placed on lower level, and the office area is on top of the manufacturing space. Although the site has a huge difference of height, and the office building is tall enough to be significant landmark, the entire facility is not dominate its surrounding landscape too much but more like a linear dragon climbing up along with the slope.
庫存存放、盤點及先進先出等傳統倉儲問題,並配合輸送帶等設備,將原料由倉庫直接送往生產設備, 大量減少現場小搬運狀況,提升生產效率,為本案另一特點。
Besides, another unique part is that an Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) has been installed in the factory. ASRS solves material storage, treatment, inventory and transition…..etc., those issues which used to be difficult to a traditional storage could be solved, and brings more efficiency to production process.

環境對應 / 最大自動化數位版金廠 能設計本案,為本所從事廠辦設計重大里程碑,不僅因為其為全國知名企業,更因能與其優秀團隊共事。 本案為全國規模最大數位板金廠(單一廠佔地6000坪),位處臨海的彰濱工業區,強風、鹽害的影響甚鉅,配置上利用建築量體抗風,背 北朝南,將廠區的作業面往南向配置,可確保冬季作業動線順暢,再者,外裝鋼板亦應防鹽抗塵,採用”隱藏式防塵鏡面鋼板”,讓牆面本 身有自潔效果,延長使用年限;此外,利用”懸吊橫拉門”取代傳統鐵捲門,亦因避免強風吹襲造成門扇變形採取的因應做法。 整體而言,本案最終呈現出之”實用”(因地制宜)、”效率”(四月建廠)及”經濟(最佳用鋼量)”之綜合表現,堪稱廠房設計之典範。
This is a vital milestone for us to design this project (Victor Taichung Machiney Works Co. Ltd). Not only Victor is a well-known national corporation, but also we can work with an outstanding team in this project. This project is the largest scale digital plate metal company in the nation (single company covers an area of 6000 square meters) in which locates in Chung-hua Coastal Industrial Park of Taiwan. However, things like strong breeze and salinization have great impact on this area, but we choose to use the building itself to resist strong wind. The front side faces south and the rear side faces north. The main functioning gate is toward south in order to make sure the functional circulation is smooth. In addition, in order to prevent salinization and dust, we install a hidden dust-proof mirror like steel plate outside the building. The steel plate is able to clean the surface automatically and extends the usage life time. Moreover, we use suspensory sliding door replaces traditional roll-up door, which solves door deformation because of strong wind. In general, this project presents a practical, efficient, and economic factory design.

改良式工法 / 泡棉製造加工廠 本案位於台中大里仁化工業區,地勢平坦,與其舊廠僅一路之 隔,故,新廠有承先啟後之命,相對於舊廠多樣的建築樣式,「以 簡馭繁」為新廠主要策略。利用簡潔的、細直狀的廠房開窗 ,搭配部分透空的帷幕展現特殊之改良鋼管構造結構,並以凸 出的方形量體產生視覺焦點,簡單卻力道強烈。 關於「改良鋼管構造結構」,是以鋼管桁架構造屋頂搭配傳 統H型鋼柱的「混合工法」,在純H型鋼構造(省工費料)與純 鋼管構造(省料費工)間取得最佳平衡點,有效降低單位用鋼量 及加工費用,為本案結構設計上一大特點。

The design project is starting from the components of tapping machine.
By observing the details and the relationships of
different mechanical gears, we transform them into several architectural forms, speaking the transition in between solid and void. Finally, we group those elements precisely on a complete façade which shows the spirit of enterprise – micro scale is as important as macro scale. In order to make it better, we have modified the design plan several times, and changed the construction schedule step by step within a limited budget.
Meanwhile, the client and

The identity of a corporation should not merely rely on a building appearance. In this case, we place the horizontal louvers on the exterior wall to solve the issue: viewing, heat of western facade and ventilation. 溫帶 / 油壓工作母機廠 本案為本所國外首案,一方面整合業主需求,一方面了解當地法令、工法及習慣等,戰戰兢兢,如履薄冰,但也因 此與業主建廠小組於異地產生濃厚革命情感,不無收穫。 本案因應溫帶地區氣候條件,部分厚實牆體減少熱量散失,但夏季日照強烈,屋頂隔熱及通風仍須加強。辦公樓 的造型及外裝材質(抿石子)曾一度引發爭辯,大陸人議論紛紛,於是,建材及施工師傅全由台灣輸出,並培訓當地 施工人員,本案完成,效果大好,具聞此班底就此案源不斷,本工法(抿石子)開枝散葉,連造型都被放大四倍出現於 當地海關建築,讓人哭笑不得。整體來說,國外的案件最重要的應該是當地配合的專業單位,從設計院、監理到 施工隊,選對了,工期及品質有保障,即便貴些也值得。
Ningbo is located in a temperate climate area. In order to make the building energy consumption more efficiently, we use thick wall to save heat in the winter.
On the other hand, we also reinforce roof insulation and ventilation flow in the summer. However, there is a debate over the design of office building and exterior wall decoration, “Pebble Wash” which the construction team in China is arguing a lot. Therefore, the construction material and the construction foreman are delivered from Taiwan, and training another local construction team to complete the project. The “Pebble Wash” technique shows a great appearing in this project. Even the design has been scaled up to four times to become the local customs department building. In general, the most important thing of running an oversea case is to select the local professions who can guarantee the construction quality and cost control it.

T.E&C takes care of the entire quality from the
beginning to the end. Fortunately, we have been supported by an excellent local construction team, so the project was completed with great quality. The total construction time is four months, which are even shorter than the original schedule. According to our tropical climate analysis, we install a lot of louvers on exterior wall to bring cool air in, and in the other way, ventilators are set on the roof top to pull the heat out. This creates an efficient ventilation flow. By pushing the windows into the wall to create depth, extending eaves and attaching grilles, those design strategies increase exterior shaded area, and control the amount of interior day light. As the result, those green strategies decrease the interior temperature efficiently. Heavy rain is another issue to face. In short, we have carefully designed the entire drainage system. Things like roof slope, gutter size, numbers of pipes, surface runoff, have been controlled precisely to deal with a large amount of water runoff.

The campus is designed to be a handicapped-friendly factory, and it intends to be the role model of green architecture. Therefore, we install a green roof and plant greens with multiple layers, which make the factory more humanity. Moreover, the cafeteria on the tallest floor looking down to the valley, the lotus pond, the pool on the roof top and the guest driver way, those facilities show how the client really care about the campus environment and the recreations for employees. The site is on a hill slope of Nan-Gang Industry Area, and the height is about 5 meters gap. Its south and west edges face to the traffic roads, and the manufacture area has to be maximized. In order to avoid the parking lots and office space occupying the capacity of factory space, we use a slope to connect the ground floor and the upper floor, and place both office and parking spaces on the top of the building.
By
using this strategy, it increases the amount of parking spaces, and meanwhile, it provides a great view for office area. We also make the building looking like seven stories tall, which shall give the company a leadership in this industrial field.

鋼管構造 / 鋼鐵廠 本案於2006建廠,金融海嘯前夕,H型鋼飆升至新台幣36元/KG,為歷 史天價,故謀替代性結構系統及工法,「純鋼管」(省料費工)構造,因 應而生,又因有大型天車(20T)荷重及晃動,鋼管結構之絞接特性(利 用結構位移削減外力能量)倍受考驗,如何克服亦為本案主要特色。 本案辦公樓以「鋼胚塑型」為發想,以雕刻手法刻鑿開口部於建築 量體,與廠房圓弧屋頂相映成趣。廠區動線因載運鋼捲(10T/捲),有 大荷重,地板施作RC外亦加鋪鋼版,避免貨車輪胎打轉傷害路面。此 外,本案配合弧形屋頂採用改良式氣樓「600型自然通風器」,除造 價較一般太子樓便宜外,兼具消防排煙、通風排熱及採光功能,亦不 受颱風風雨影響,可謂一舉數得。
The project construction was starting in 2006, right before the financial crisis. The price of I-beam was raised up to 36 TWD per kilogram; it was the highest price in the record. Therefore, we used truss-beam instead of H-beam to construct the building, in order to cut the material cost. However, a heavy weight (20 tons) bridge crane, which will cause heavy loading and shaking, needs to be installed on columns. It was a great test for the revolute joints of the truss structure. The design concept of office building takes the idea of steel casting. Hence, we cast the openings on building mass. The curved factory roof and the sculpture-like office building contrast to each other, and present a convivial image to the entire facility. Because of heavy load shipping (steel rolls, 10 tons per roll), outdoor shipping circulation is made by reinforce concrete and covered with steel panels, to avoid damage of trucks.
Moreover, following the curved roof, we install an
improved ridge vents, “600 nature ventilation vents”, on the span surface. The vents like smoke chimneys, which bring in sunlight and air. They have less affection by typhoon, and are even cheaper than regular ridge vents. Those design make the factory roof is functional, economical and efficient.

綠廠房 / 幫浦製造廠 泉溢,取「泉水湧溢」之意,形象上係以「湧泉」為之,師法自然以流水為主題,在辦公樓以流動的立面及帷幕 、格柵的切面呈現「石上清泉」的形象,呼應企業為製作泵浦之廠房,獨特且深具意涵。
The design idea comes from the spring water, and we translate the image into the office building. We attach vertical grilles on building mass to simulate water flow on a stone, which speaks the story of the company, a water-pump manufacture.Here is another unique story: a large weir is set as a factory facility for pump testing field. It occupies more than 662 square meters and 15 meter deep, and it is the first unofficial testing weir in Taiwan. Although the factory is built for traditional manufacturing, the
本案另一特色為大型「水堰」,即泵浦排水能力之測試設施,占地二百餘坪,深十五米,殊為壯觀,將與國內檢 試驗機構(如SGS.TAF等)合作,為國內民間第一座大型試水堰。業主雖為傳統製造業,對環境的議題甚為重視 , 「綠廠房」即為其主要努力目標。要達成綠廠房的目標除了取得「綠建築標章」外,仍須經過兩年的驗證 期,檢視生產過程及廠區使用是否合乎申請規定,再予發證,其增加的成本,光整廠玻璃的汰換就達二百餘萬, 日後使用更得符合相關規定,不得恣意違規增建、變更空地使用等,足見業主經營「綠企業」的決心。
client has treated environment protection as an important issue. A green factory is the goal for us to reach. In order to success the goal, the factory must be authorized by the “green building label”, and the approval process will approximately take two years. It not only has a strict regulation on the factory, but also precisely controls the production process and usage of factory. For example, changing the usage of open space or additional construction is unacceptable. The cost of using Low-E glasses is even more than two million dollars, and the total construction fee goes up a lot. As a result, it shows the core value of the company that is taking environmental protection as a part of its duty.

The factory is located in Changhua Coastal Industrial Park, and the second floor of the factory is an exhibition space, which needs large span with light load. Therefore, we design a curved roof and use truss structure to reduce the weight of structure, and decrease the construction fee. Because of the exhibition space, large posters and advertisements are installed on the façade. It is necessary to install vivid colors on, which give a convivial atmosphere to the exhibition space. However, the building closes to the northern site-edge, which faces to a major road of the industry park. It will become windy in the winter. To avoid dust and dirt stick on the posters and flags and to keep them stable is a key point for further maintenance.

陽光寶盒 / 熱收縮膜系列產品製造廠 本案為瓶身標籤印刷廠,位於嘉義大浦美工業區,西臨園區滯洪池,南面園區水道,面水背山,景緻優美 ,唯南臺灣烈日當空,日照時間長,「陽光」及「顏色」即為本案設計發想及運用的主軸。 This project is a label printing factory for bottles, and the site is located at Chiayi Dapumei Intelligent Industrial Park. The west edge of site is close to the camps retention basin; the south edge faces the camps river way. Basically, the site is surrounded by beautiful environment and landscape. Since the site is located in the southern part of Taiwan with long term of day light, “light” and “color” are the concept in the project. How to manipulate color is an issue of printing technic, but all the colors come from the sun light. The only way to see the sun light is by using dispersive prism to transform the sun light into visible light.

印刷源自顏色的運用,但根究顏色的來源卻是一般我們視之無色的陽光,透過三稜鏡直見陽光的色階變化 。辦公樓門廳立面部分,內凹設計為摺面,有效降低日射取得,其間並序列各式顏色,是為一承接陽光之「陽 光寶盒」。本案亦順應地形而建,前低後高,明堂開闊,廠區入口處並有高21米精神立柱一座,為知名堪輿家 指點,意在引領企業向前向上發展,無遠弗屆。 Taking this idea, the office façade is folded as a V-shape glass surface, sunken to the inside to reduce the amount of sun light receiving, and a row of colorful louvers have been attached on the curtain wall. That is, the office lobby becomes a crystal and convivial glass prism where you can receive the sun light. Following the terrain, lower in the front higher in the rear, there is a wide open space in front of the factory entrance, and a 21 meters height column has been set on it. The column is designed by” Feng-Shui” (a traditional Chinese divination) meaning to lead the company to the upper level in the future.

古典建築 / 機電設備廠 本案一反本所歷來設計廠辦建築風格,採「新古典樣式」,柱列、廊廳、拱圈等, 一應俱全,底層及廊柱皆用石材,呈現另類廠辦古典細膩,卻又昂然磅礡氣勢。業 主性格亦謹慎細膩,幾乎將建築當成工具機來設計,每「公分」的取捨都斟酌再 三,其敬業精神著實令人敬佩。 本案亦有多項突破,其一,以「研磨地坪」取代傳統金鋼砂或EXPOCY地坪,環保 又耐用;其二,正面大型「內推窗」為日後機具維修進出口,並利用窗料擠型解決 排水問題;其三,機電消防空間精確整合,較一般規定節省三分之一以上空間等等 …團隊用心程度,可見一般。
The project overthrows all of our factory design. A row of Columns, arcade and arch, those classical languages usually does not show up in factory design. The client attaches importance to precision. Every centimeter has put into his consideration, treating architecture design as designing a mechanical tool. Taking this spirit, T.E&C has completed an outstanding factory design. Unlike regular floor finishing applies additional materials such as corundum sand or epoxy layer; we use a grinding technic to polish the floor surface, which saves material and makes the floor surface more durable. We leave a large opening on the façade for manufacturing machines can easily be installed in the future. Mechanical room is combined with fire resistant space saving over one-third of space usage than common regulation. In this case, it shows that our team has provided a great effort on the details of factory architecture to break the rule.

鑽石切割 / 工作母機零件廠 本案以簡潔的垂直開窗秩序及帷幕玻璃的角度變化,將視覺聚焦於正面帷幕「鑽石切 割」面上,表現簡繁與虛實對比的效果,並大幅降低造價。 相對於貿巨精科廠,本案為另一「好更好計畫」加上「預算平衡計畫」案例,造型丕 變,不同的是,業主更迭,最初的需求與最終的使用者不同,該如何是好?答案是:「對的 事,堅持做下去就對了」,此舉深獲業主認同,全案多方協調,最終在儘可能為第三者謀 求最佳建築狀態的情況下,雖仍有不足,畢竟勉力完成,有驚無險。
In this case, we use the repeating vertical openings to create a simplistic order. On the other hand, the curtain wall façade, showing a continuous folding surface, is compounded with multiple triangular shapes with variable angles.
The contract of simplicity and complexity has turned the curtain wall into the visual focus, and the design strategy cut a large amount of construction fee. In comparison to Maho’s factory, this project faces the same issue, the budget and changing the design idea frequently. But it is different that the client is not the user of facility. Meaning, the initial requirement is not provided by the user. The answer to the problem is: “keep doing the right thing”, and it is supported by the client. After a great effort and a long term negotiation, the project is finally done in the best result for the future users.

石材切割 / 金屬加工廠 業主從事板金、雷射切割,本案透過石材量體的堅實、 寶石般帷幕晶亮、水平串接的細緻格柵及大型造型雨 遮貫連廠辦等,整體的虛實交替演繹出豐富的空間變化, 也體現「精密切割」的細緻準確。 本案外牆面本採用較經濟之抿石子工法,白牆綠窗灰格 柵,現代感十足,結構體完成後,業主擬變更為石材牆面, 故提「好更好計畫」全面調整材質、色彩及配搭之門 窗、格柵等,最終調整成「類新古典」風格,大面霞紅石 材牆,褐色帷幕,咖啡色格柵及造型雨遮等,使得生冷的 廠辦空間,增添些許人文溫潤的氛圍。
The project, which is a factory of sheet metal manufacturing and laser cutting, intends to visualize the sense of neat and precise of cutting. We use the stone mass, a crystal curtain wall, horizontal grilles and a large continuous canopy to create a convivial variation of solid-void space. The exterior wall finishing originally applies the decorating technic, “Pebble Wash”, which is more economical. White wall, green windows and gray grilles give the factory appearing a modern looking. When the building structure was done, the client required the change in the finishing of exterior wall by using limestone. We, therefore, provide a better plan, and comprehensively change the finishing materials. We use rosy brown limestone on exterior wall, a light-brown curtain wall, dark-brown grilles and stylish canopies giving some warm and humanity to the cold mechanical factory.

With forty years history of making miso, there is a purpose to Wei-Jung’s new factory – delivering a new transition from the tradition to the future. The idea of designing its façade is trying to bring the image of brewing barrel of miso on it, and combining variational grilles to reduce sun radiation heat on west side. With its new convivial face, that will help a traditional miso manufacture becoming alive. In order to transfrom a traditional manufacturing factory into a tutorial factory, reorganizing a tutorial circulation is another issue in this project. The tutorial circulation starts from the company history, production process, and experiencing how to make miso, which not only introduce the company but also the information of organic health and the importance of green.
釀造桶 / 台灣味噌釀造文化館 作為四十年老店,味榮新廠傳承”味噌”工廠意象,承先啟後,開創新局 。本案以釀製味噌之主要容器”釀造木桶”為形象主題,結合降低西曬之 遮陽需求,以”外格柵”方式處理外立面,放大100倍之”綠建築大釀造 木桶”塑造建築物正面表情,以活潑鮮明的方式呈現傳統產業意象。 本案亦提升原製造工廠為”觀光工廠”,大力推廣有機、健康及環保等議 題,透過導覽動線,從公司歷史、製造原理、製造實況、DIY體驗、產品運 用及未來展望等,深入淺出的引領參訪者了解該企業及產品,除強化產品通 路外,亦大大的提升企業形象。

Factory and museum are two typical building types. Economical aspect is the best representation of a factory; a museum symbolizes aesthetic. When two extreme aspects are as important as each other, how can we combine both together? In this project, the client mainly produces curtain rods of classic style. Following its products, we take the classical design language, and translate it into modern way. That is, a factory, which has a sculpture face like a museum, is born. The factory façade faces to the north, receiving the strong northeast monsoon in the winter. In order to avoid its windy environment,

Secondly, since the vast roof has a huge span, leaking becomes another problem. We use none-joint roof steel panels, which are 150 meters, to construct the roof. The construction technic is more difficult than usual roof panels. However, by reducing the numbers of joins on the roof, it efficiently solves the issue of leaking. Finally, another issue is: the load of steel roll storage area is far more than the capability which the nature ground can take. By using deep foundation, the entire structure will not be hurt because of heavy load on the floor. Wind load, leaking and heavy weight of storage area were the three major issues in the project, but they were also great challenges to solve.

本案為本所設計監造鉅額公共工程首案,除競圖階段興奮有趣外,從設計、審查 、發包、監造、查核、到竣工,狀況連連備嘗艱辛,有若「誤闖森林的小白兔」, 四年間殫心竭慮如履薄冰,終究苦盡甘來,脫胎換骨,尤其以監造團隊的建置及能 力的提升為最,自此鉅額採購公共工程不再是障礙。 設計上本以「玻璃盒」對應校園主要開放空間,即中興湖,獲競圖評審委員及都 審委員一致青睞,唯至教育部複審即以「閒置空間」太多為由,竟整體翻案,殊不 知所謂閒置空間即為學習行為中關鍵之中介空間,一則減少日射取得節約能源, 一則增加課堂外聚集及相互觀察學習的機會,無奈人微言輕,終至翻案。新案配 置亦有爭議,面對中興湖,建築究竟實之以對抑或虛之以對?實者大梯廳,虛者大 中庭,又是一場論戰,此役最終以本所意見,即「實中帶虛」終結,仍以「玻璃盒 」之大梯廳串接中興湖與中庭,使得本大樓與中興湖之關係因使用者無遠弗屆 的視覺連結更為緊密,使用者更有本校唯一的機會從各種高度觀察體會中興湖 之美,中興湖亦以美麗倒影回應。本案最終成為中興大學新地標,各式招生廣告 皆以其為背景,四年多的努力,有了好的註解。
It is the first project for T.E&C. to complete a public competition. From the design stage to finish the project, the entire process is bitter-sweet. Four years hard working brought T.E&C. into an upper level, especially the ability of construction management of a large scale public project. The original proposal was using a “glass box” to face the Chung-Hsing Lake, a major open space in the campus, and it was taken by all the commission members. However, it was totally rejected by the Ministry of Education because there was too much space unutilized. The “unutilized space” was the key point. On one hand, it reduced the day light radiation receiving, and kept the interior temperature low without air-condition. On the other hand, it became a social space for students to handout, communicate and observe each other, which mean they could learn from each other. Unfortunately, a new layout was required, and it still had an argument about lobby design. Should we use an enclosure lobby to connect the courtyard and the lake? Or should we keep the lobby open to become one piece, big courtyard? The result was taken from our initial idea, and the lobby became an enclosure glass box which connected the lake and the courtyard. People can stand in the courtyard toward the Chung-Hsing Lake, looking through entire lobby space. They can even stand on upper floor to experience the beauty of the lake. The visual connection will give a closer relationship between the users, the building and the campus. The project eventually becomes the campus landmark, and four years effort comes the best ending.

本案位於台中高工校園配置的最底端,臨高工路,對內作為最新的教學空間,對外向 世人宣誓,本校將邁入新的里程碑。其設計要點有三: 一、「多元與彈性」: 人類與建築,新世紀應具有多元面向並具備彈性調整的能力。使用的需求隨時光更 迭改變,空間本身如何在最有效率及節省資源的條件下進行轉變為新世代建築為主 要探討的課題。其中的重點有1.彈性可變的空間模矩系統2.耐久耐震的結構系統3. 可抽換延展的設備管線系統。 二、「綠色建築」: 人類環境遭逢前所未見的巨變,所有各類開發的建築應具有環境意識。「綠建築」 為基本策略,在開發及使用的同時儘可能降低對環境的衝擊與傷害,進而利用呈現建 築本體的特色,宣示維護環境的決心。 三、「綠能網絡」: 關於運用環境中的資源,最佳的策略便是綠色能源的使用。太陽能科技近年已臻成 熟,運用的層面與效率大為提升,若有策略的運用在校園各棟建築,並整合使用,形成 「綠能網絡」,將發揮乘數效用。
The project is located in the southern part of school campus, facing to the Gaogong road. It is not only the newest educational space, but also a milestone for the school. As it has to be, there are three major issues to be concerned. First of all, the requirement of space function is changing, and it will change in different time. The new generation of architecture should be capable of containing multiple usages and adjustments. The layout of space should be efficiently transformed for each generation to use, and it is an important issue for us. In general, they are: 1. A module system allows space layout becoming flexible. 2. A durable and earthquake resistant structure. 3. A pipe system can be easily maintained. Second of all, since our living world is facing a great impact of environmental changing, architecture for the next generation should take the responsibility of environment protection. A green building is our principle. Finally, solar energy has recently become a stable resource which is able to absorb energy from nature environment. If we can apply the technology on every single building in the campus, it is not merely a roof but a “green energy network”.

本案位於南投縣水里鄉新興村,為客家聚落。客家建築空間表現上常 呈現「公廳」與「宗祠」等特殊建築類型,材料上也採取因地制宜的 在地化風格,因此,本案擷取傳統客家建築意象加以變形、深化,即多 進、圍朔及防禦性之延伸,造就立面堆疊、虛實對比效果,並向內圍合 中庭(穿堂)空間,再者,利用弧牆表現其防禦性、利用隔 柵來防禦有害 光線,並以「立面植生」來增進外觀與環境的調合。 此外,教室空間經案例分析,建議以7.5米正方形空間為本案教學空間 之基本模矩,另考慮到可變性與耐久性的建築計畫,彈性隔間、共用走 廊及廊下的小型共用管道等,建築翻新時的自由度相當高,用以因應多 變的教學需求。
The school locates at a Hakka village, Shin Shing, Nantou County. Hakka architecture presents an image of enclosure, defensive and multiple extensions. There are several special characters in space, For example, ancestral hall (pray and worship god and ancestors) and public hall. The construction material mostly and usually comes from its local region giving a sense of localization. By absorbing those characteristics, we overlap multiple layers with several materials to create depth on façade, and the center space is open as a courtyard. Moreover, green panels are installed on the façade, so relate the building and environment together. The grilles on the curved wall are attached to protect interior decoration to peel from sunlight exposure. 02
In considering of future education needs, a flexible and durable space layout is the

trend. According to precedent studies, we use a 7.5 meter cube as a basic module, and this module is modifiable for the changes.

弓箭 / 射箭國手培訓基地 本案為奧運射箭國手培訓基地,位於埔里愛蘭山丘之巔,若有建物其自明性本應 顯明,但本案卻低調融合於秀麗山水間。射箭方向應考慮不致「射日」(東西向 配置),以免影響視線。 射箭訓練除場地本身應符合標準外,亦應確保場外人員及器物安全,故訓練活 動(及飛箭)應妥善的聚合於場內,以符合安全要求,「聚」的意象因而衍生。 建築群及設施位於山頂,而因安全需求產生「聚」的意象,兩者結合生成「據守 山城」,結合並融合於地景的山城巨牆順地而生。弓與箭,相依相存,弓蘊力而箭 併發,靜動有秩,則攻無不克。建築空間的安排亦是如此, 「先藏後放」、 「日 形夜影」為主要操作手法。
The project is a training center for Olympus Archery Team of Taiwan, and locates on the top of Ailan hill. If there is a building on the top of hill, the hilltop building supposes to be obvious. But we hide the building within the profile of mountain, without ruining the beautiful landscape. The direction of archery field should not toward to the sun track (east/west bound) to avoid sunlight dazzling. The archery field follows the international standard, and environment surround the field should be protected as well. Therefore, we place the entire facility as a semi-circle surrounding the main archery field, and set the buildings in the back of the field. Since the safety requirement is needed, a semi-circle layout comes to give a sense of gathering. The structure follows along with its surrounding landscape, which integrates with the archery center to establish an entrenched position on the hill. Bow and arrow cannot stand alone without each other; architecture and space follow the same principal as well.

Personality, family gathering, and coexistence should be the main issue. Firstly, personality characterizes a unique individual space which is the matter of appropriate, not size. Secondly, gathering place, a clam, safe, and private space, is the core of ordinary life. Finally, a place where people coexist with the nature and advance with the time is the best to live in.

說起孫宅,說起孫兄,他真是把下半輩子住的大事交給我了, 光地就換了幾處,最終落在台中市十二期重劃區,逢甲商圈附 近,鬧中取靜,可謂「大隱隱於市」。 對孫兄及其家人來說,建築的樣式一定是低調的,但要耐看, 要有質感,更要有特色,看似兩難卻有解決的方法,幾面簡單 的大牆將居住空間「圍而不閉」,再輔以其公司特有的產品 「鋁製隔柵」妝點,巨牆大器而隔柵隱晦,即大功告成了。其 間並有青楓竹林引路,五葉松迎客,偌大的實木泡茶桌可讓三 五好友沉溺整個下午不忍離去。退縮的側院讓光線進來,卻 讓視線出去,構成「有天光」的客餐廳,生活其內卻也感受到 環境的變化,悠遊其間,怡然自得。
Speaking of Mr. Suen, he really gives his rest of life to T.E&C. The site location has been changed several times, and it finally located in the Fuxing Urban Consolidation Area, near the Fengjia Night Market. It is a convenient but quiet to live in. To Suen’s family, the architecture language must keep great quality and characteristic in a low tone. This high standard requirement will be a challenge for us. Therefore, we simply use several walls to form the space, and to keep it’s opened. Finally, the aluminum grilles provide privacy to the family. That is, a hidden but demonstrative architecture is done. We also create a side yard for the nature light, and it allows interior scene extending to exterior.
Kitchen, dining room, living room, and every
important living space are capable to feel the nature.

The “Lin House� faces to south, and it is warm in the winter but cool in the summer. The site faces to a creek, and mountains are on the back. A little green hill is on the back right of the site. Several withered trees are on the hill, showing the beauty of branches. Since the site is surrounded with beautiful landscape, keeping the building mass as low profile is our strategy to respect its surrounding. The building mass is divided into two rectangular boxes. The big one is the main building for family, and the other one is for the guests. When human beings develop the city without limitation, it is hard to coexist with the nature in the simplest way.

Since the project is located in a wonderful nature environment, we take the following design strategies: recyclable materials, nature ventilation and lighting, and permeable surface to make the project a successful green building. The most construction material is recyclable. The structural steel beams and the exterior wooden grilles are capable to be recycled in the future. Moreover, a rain water recycle system is installed on the roof to supply the garden pond. The sheet metal roof has a gentle slope, which makes a skyline straight. Speaking of Dr. Gau and his wife, the smile and tasty wines remind me a lot about their kindness. The case has been done for almost five years, but we still kept receiving their home-made soy sauce as special thanks to our effort every year. The project was a functional farmer house at the beginning. However, after few discussions, they agreed to give it a try for something different. The building mass is wide and long. The eaves extend to the outdoor space, and create a vast shaded area to cold down the temperature of the house. We also set the building height close to the earth, so most rooms in the house can watch the courtyard. Therefore, nature comes into the interior space.

本案以傳統”一條龍”民居,外有溝壑在前,內有龍柏圍閉,悄然隱 沒於路旁,頗有”大隱隱於市”之姿,然,一進院落,古木參天,奇花 異石、小亭流水錯落有致,偶有鷺鷥來訪,夜有螢火蟲閃亮,整體呈 現一種寧靜致遠之氛圍。 主人為上市公司企業主,慎終追遠之情甚篤,故採傳統閩式建築樣 貌,但室內仍是符合現代舒適需求的,並將傳統建築元素重塑表以 現代元件,於是,一種古典樣貌的現代建築因應而生……..
The project is a typical one story house. You won’t see the low house if you pass by. It has a gully like a moat in the front, and inside has a huge amount of dragon junipers to surround the building, which gives a sense that the building is hidden within the nature. Moreover, the front yard is planted by a huge amount of green, and has a little creek passing through.
The artificial landscape creates a
small-scale nature environment for local species, like little egrets and fireflies, coming in frequently. In short, the court yard provides a great privacy, and the all the green has created a peaceful atmosphere. The client is an owner of a public company, and is reverent to his ancestor deeply. Therefore, we choose the traditional Fujian architecture language to layout the plan and exterior appearing, but the interior space is still modern and comfort. By using modern material and technique to translate the traditional architecture language, the nostalgia architecture has born.

位於台中縣沙鹿鎮,為當時當地規模最大案件。 業主太子建設,為國內知名上市建設公司,有品牌 效應,售價較同類型產品高出一到兩成,唯其態度 嚴謹,大到規劃設計小到施工細節皆有嚴格規範, 對客戶來說還是相當划算的,本案預售推出,不到 結構體完工就已售罄。當時透天建案以「古典 歐風」為主流,本案建築風格採取「現代主義」 策略,一則用以市場區隔,一則降低大斜面屋頂的 施工成本,並以「磐石雕琢」的手法,展現現代建 築簡明大器的意象,在當時堪稱獨樹一幟。
The project was one of the T.E&C’s subdivision development projects. 92 houses were located in Shalu District, Taichung, and it was the biggest development project during the time. The client was Prince Housing & Development Corp., a famous public company in Taiwan. From plan layout to construction detail, the company had a strict management rule to control the development quality. Although the price was 20 percent higher than its competitors, it was still a great deal for customers. Even though the buildings were still under construction process, the project had been sold out due to the high demand. Back to the time, the classical and European style is popular in the subdivision development market. Therefore, we took a totally different design language -- modernism as our strategy. On one hand, it created a different positioning in the strategy. On the other hand, it reduced the construction fee of the big tilted roof. The entire housing mass was like a stone sculpture, and spoke for itself.

Speaking of town house design, it is fashion and trend. From Japanese, European, Neo-classic to Modernism, the developers are dedicated to break the rule, and take a leadership in the market, but they worry about the design is too unique to be accepted by the market. As a result, the unclear strategy causes a dilemma situation. In this project, the design language follows the European style from the developer, but it brings the style to its extreme. The façade proportion, classical orders, material combination, and color tones…etc., presents a precision, elegance and a security design. The project was honored by the “Best Housing Elevation of Formosa” in 2006. However, to give up a successful experience is not easy. It is the sustained dilemma between breaking the rule and making the success even better.
論及透天厝樣式,受市場潮流影響,總有當時主流風格 ,約兩到三年不等,從剛出道時的「日式」,繼以「歐 式」,演變為「新古典」,再者「新現代」,推陳出新, 業者總想領先突破作為市場區隔,但又擔心不為主流 市場所接受,往往陷入兩難。 本案延續業者一貫「歐式」風格,推出此案,為該類風 格發展到極致的表現,從立面比例、元素運用、材料 組合及色彩搭配等,呈現其精準、典雅細緻又不失寧 靜祥和的氛圍。本案一舉拿下「2006台灣優質住宅 評鑑傑出建築獎」,肯定整個團隊的努力,但既已極致 ,新的建築樣式是否也該出現了?放棄成功的經驗勇 於挑戰新局,實屬不易。

川流不息,區隔、延伸及服務為要。區隔,市場區隔也,從企劃階段即投入調查及研究,求一戰即勝;延伸,即空間使用的延伸意境及想像,提升附加價值;服務,即顧客至上,服務 至上,精確的掌握使用者需求,低調而謹慎地提供相對應的空間及設施,希望達到”服務於無形”之境界,優遊其間,好不自在。 Leisure place is the gathering of flux. Difference, extension, and service should be considerated carefully. Firstly, Difference which plays the most important role in the market assessments should be discovered and defined at the very beginning. Secondly, extension space, an additional value of use, can flexibly arrange each space. Finally, service means to observe the need of customers precisely, but react gently and prudently, even invisible.

帆船 / 紫藤湖 紫藤,紫藤湖,紫藤湖飯店,飯店臨紫藤湖,湖邊有紫 藤,詩意灑落一地。本案以「帆船」為概念出發, 採用帆船隨風航行的姿態,構成建築主體,其座落 於湖邊,豎立船艏,一覽湖中動靜風貌。 其實,她是一座功能齊備的中西餐複合式餐廳,日 間於宴會廳送往迎來大進大出,夜間於「空中酒 吧」迎風小憩品評美酒,無論日夜皆有紫藤湖美 景相伴,頂層更提供住宿,面湖開設的框景大窗,讓 旅者有機會安靜的感受湖面因微風帶起漣漪,晨 光照射而波光粼粼。 The site is located on the lake front to observe the beautiful landscape. Sailing ship is the concept in this project. We take the image of a ship sails on water, and translate the feature into the building form. It is actually a restaurant and hotel. People can join the party, coming in and out during the day; they can also taste great wines in rooftop lounge, feel a breeze passing by. Upper floors are hotel rooms, and every single room has a balcony facing to the lake, where you can enjoy. The wind blows over the water, and the lake is shining by the reflection of twilight. That is, no matter day or night, the lake and its beauty are always there welcoming all the travelers.

南人.旅人 本民宿位處台南四草,原為魚塭,旁有小村落,欲使旅人體會南國風情,異鄉桃花源。試想南國的 驕陽,喚醒慵懶的假日,粼粼的水影,徘徊早午餐的香醇,一派慢活。本案以「蚵架」形象延伸鹽 田地區魚塭印象,綠草白屋「飄動」於水面上。
The life should be slow. Watch the shadows changing on the grass, stare the water lapping on the rocks, enjoy the rich flavor of the brunch, and desire nothing. The site is located in Sicao, Tainan City, originally a pond for fish farming. The design extends the impression of salt evaporation pond, so you see green grass around and the white houses floating above the water. We transform the tandem of oysters as a circulation order, to connect individual experience with different space.
一串串的蚵,是近海生計的秩序,蚵架上各色生活的「珠鍊」,經由動線的串聯、遊逛,水上濯足 沁涼、水邊垂釣漁樂、屋間水草婆娑、踏沙輕柔細語、石壘沉水舒身、佳木和暖棲宿,不禁嘆: 納煙水之悠悠,收雲山之聳翠,看梵宇之淩空,賞平林之漠漠。旅人至此,猶如另一處歸宿。
The roughness of sand, the softness of grass, the coldness of sea, and the warmness of the southern sun create a micro world where you are moving through, and discover the happiness left behind, a place you can experience the rural life.

晶,露土,展其華,順地而生,蜇伏於山野。本案為企業教育訓練中心,背山面谷, 求順勢低調,融合於生態環境中。 該公司以玻璃加工為業,”玻璃”自然成為主角,其通透的特性有助於室內外 環境的融合,然,鳥與昆蟲不識此物,便有了”Bird Friendly Glass”….
A crystal, a gift from Mother Nature, usually grows in moisture and low temperature cave. More importantly, the crystal is the spirit of this project.
The project is an educational & training center. The site faces to a valley and surround mountains with the all base of operation, so we design the building as a low profile mass, friendly to the environment. The client is a glass manufacture, so glass consequently becomes the design concept. The transparency of glass feature connects the outdoor and indoor environment together, and creates the semi-open space.

招潮蟹 / 台灣招潮蟹復育計畫 當使用對象不是”人”怎辦?是”台灣招潮蟹”(台灣特有種,1918在鹿港發現,幾乎滅絕)。長年來,台明將對傳統傳承、教育文化及生 態保育不遺餘力,本案原本為一廢棄遊樂園,台明將接手後,廣邀專家學者,設定園區主題、持續低度開發、緩慢仔細觀察,以”減法”為 操作手法,恢復土地原有涵養與活力。目前完成”白鷺鷥戶外教學中心”、”綠能農場”及”大螯入口意象”等第一期計畫,預計2018 年,本團隊將驕傲的宣布,”台灣招潮蟹在台發現100年,在台灣漢寶園復育成功!”
This campus is set for the Taiwanese Fibber Crab (binomial nomenclature: Uca formosensis), which was found in Lukang in 1918, and has almost extinct. The company, Taiwan Mirror Glass, has made a great and long term effort on traditional culture, environmental protection and education. The site was originally an abandoned playground. TMG takes over it, and invited professors from different aspects to design a master plan for the protection of Taiwanese Fibber Crab. Low impact development and slow processes to observe have been set to recover the vitality and nutrient of the campus. So far, our team has completed the first phase of master plan: “Little Egret” outdoor education center, “green energy” farms, and the “big claw” entrance…., etc. In 2018, we will proud to announce: “Taiwanese Fibber Crabs have been established for one century, we restore them successfully in the campus of TMG!”
