Redhill Chicken Wings/ Tasty Bee Hoon ~ PM Lee spotted queueing for chicken wings at Redhill hawker centre
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong was at Redhill hawker centre, queued at Block 85 Redhill market for 30 minutes to buy fried chicken on June 12, 2014. According to Lianhe Wanbao, many people are excited to see the PM dining at the hawker centre. Bloggers have praised the prime minister's willingness to queue for food himself just like any other member of the public, as well as immerse himself in the public community. A picture of a dessert stall in the same hawker centre was also posted on his Facebook page, mentioning that the 'Fortune Cat' in front of it seemed to bring it popularity and business indeed. He also thanked an anonymous person for giving him a bowl of green bean soup. 2 of Stompers staff also went to try out the food and see if the food was really as good as it seems. Critic review? Fantastic. Delicious. Really worth the trouble to go all the way down for the chicken wings and bee hoon. Just can’t wait to have my hands and mouth on the chicken wings and bee hoon. Haha…
Delicious Rosti Recipes On The Go ~ Potato Roesti/ Rosti has many additional toppings like Salmon, hotdogs, eggs, plain etc‌ What’s makes Rosti such a hot favourite food among the public is that the potato strips tastes like the common French fries but perhaps less crispy. Enjoy The Rosti Recipe Prepared For You :
Ingredients 1. 1 1/2 pounds potatoes, peeled and shredded, (4 large potatoes = 4 cups shredded) 2. 1 large egg 3. 1/2 teaspoon salt 4. 1 dash black pepper, ground 5. 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil 6. Container: 10 inch non-stick skillet, flat baking sheet coated with oil Instructions : Preparation Time : 30 mins Cooking Time :15 mins Ready In : 45 mins
1. Peel potatoes and shred using a food processor or a box grater. Hand or machine grate potatoes into strips similar to hash browns. If hand grating, grate the potato lengthwise for best results. 2. Place strips of potatoes into water to wash off excess starch. When finished washing, place shredded potatoes into a dish towel or cloth. Wrap tightly and wring or squeeze out excess water, making sure to remove as much as possible so cooking results are not affected by the excess moisture. 3. Crack egg into mixing bowl and whisk until smooth. 4. Add potatoes, ground pepper and salt, mixing all ingredients together well. 5. On stovetop, add 2 tablespoons of oil to a 10 inch non-stick skillet to be warmed on medium heat setting. 6. Add potato mixture to the 10 inch non-stick skillet, using a spatula to level the potatoes evenly across the pan. Since the potato mixture does not firm up after cooking only one side, the non-stick skillet will assist with the ease of turning the Roesti over when the first side if finished cooking. Cover pan and cook over medium heat for 6 to 8 minutes or until golden brown on bottom surface of potatoes. Remove cover and cook an additional 5 minutes. 7. Coat flat baking sheet with oil or cooking spray. 8. Remove skillet from stovetop. Using protective mitts or hotpads, place a flat baking sheet over the skillet. Hold baking sheet against skillet and turn skillet over so Roesti drops out of skillet onto baking sheet. 9. Remove bits of potato from skillet and place it back onto burner, adding remaining 1 tablespoon of oil. 10. Slide Roesti potato cake off baking sheet and into skillet, allowing uncooked surface to begin cooking. 11. Cook second side in uncovered skillet for 6 to 8 minutes, until golden brown. When finished cooking, tilt skillet and allow potato cake to slide out of skillet onto serving plate. Cut into 4 pie-shaped pieces and serve warm. 12. Add a fried egg on top of Roesti.
Stylish Food Items For Parties
Yes, the holidays will be here before we know it. Regardless of which holiday(s) you celebrate, most all involve celebrating with food. Buffets are a perfect option for parties and get together during the winter months.
Holiday Buffet Table Tips Here are some basic ideas to help you tackle the basics of your buffet table set up. 1. I find it easier to choose the menu and then the serving dishes first. That way you know exactly how big your table needs to be to accommodate everything.] 2. A dry run of your set up will make things go faster on the day of the party. Grab your serving dishes and go to town. Try different configurations until you find one that works for you and best for your guests. 3. If your food takes up most of your table, don’t crowd things up more with flatware, plates, napkins, etc… Consider setting a smaller surface close to your table with those items. Use a sideboard, small portable table, hutch or anything else that’s close by. 4. You can do the same for condiments, fixings and drinks. Each having their own, designated space will allow the main buffet table to showcase the food you offer in a beautiful fashion.
