Too
BIG to be a Tablet?
The Toughpad 4K, was described as "the world's first" 20-inch tablet with an Ultra HD (4K) resolution. The tablet isn't something you'd buy for your kids, though. Aimed more at businesses such as museums, and professional uses like graphic designing with Autocad and Photoshop, it displays a crystal-clear 3,840 x 2,560 pixel resolution, and comes in a rugged, carbon-fiber case designed to withstand a lot of abuse. The Windows 8.1-powered tablet also supports Panasonic's wireless Electronic Touch Pen, which Panasonic claims to be more accurate than your standard tablet pen. And if you're wondering what's under the hood, the Toughpad's specs are laptop-worthy: an Intel Core i5 vPro processor, 8 GB of memory, Nvidia GeForce graphics and 256 GB of storage.
The tag that goes with it, rumored to be around AED 18,000 so when it goes out of the market don’t expect it to be cheap.

LG G2 It's getting increasingly difficult to launch a smartphone with some standout feature, something more than just bigger screens and faster processors can offer is hard to find nowadays. So with LG G2's new design, will the new look impress the market? The G2 took what I loved from the tablet-smartphone category, and crammed it into a regular smartphone. A big one, granted, but not an unnecessarily huge one. LG's smartphone screens are among the best, with 5.2-inch screen in 1080p resolution, its newest phone continues to lead its peers. This time around, however, it's got the battery to do it justice. Everything you saw on the Optimus G Pro is here on the G2, like the dual-camera modes to record video from both the front and back lenses.

Needless to say, the new Apple’s Tablet flagship, the iPad Air, is more than looks and style. Unbelievably thin and light and yet it’s so much more powerful and capable. With an A7 chip and M7 coprocessor, advanced wireless and great apps for productivity and creativity iPad Air lets you do more than you ever imagined.
5
REASONS TO FALL INLOVE WITH
Incredible Performance iPad Air also focuses on its performance adding an A7 chip and M7 coprocessor into it. That means your iPad Air works twice the CPU speed and graphics performance for everything you do.
Leaner and Meaner iPad Air literally brought down its size. . It cut almost a quarter of the volume of the previous iPad generations so it weighs just one gravitydefying pound. Thin but still dependably durable all thanks to its aluminum unibody design. The sleek look goes out without anymore to say, very comfortable to travel with, so you can bring it anywhere you go with so much ease.
5MP iSight Camera iPad Air also boast features for capturing better images. The 5-megapixel iSight camera on iPad Air was designed to help you capture all of life’s moments at a moment’s notice. The vivid images then perfectly suits the Retina Display of the iPad, making all presentation clearer than ever.
Retina Display iPad has always been about its screen resolution and crispy display. And with the new iPad Air, the company wouldn’t disappoint us on this matter. The size of the stunning Retina display is exactly the same. With a 2048-by-1536 resolution and over 3.1 million pixels, photos and videos pop with detail and text looks razor sharp. Pixels are indiscernible.
M7 COPROCESSOR The M7 coprocessor measures motion from your iPad Air by pulling data from the accelerometer, gyroscope, and compass. So your apps can give you a better experience based on the movement of your iPad Air.
A7 CHIP The A7 chip makes iPad run faster. Games are more responsive. And everything you do with iPad Air feels quicker, because it is quicker. It also supports OpenGL ES version 3.0, enabling detailed graphics and visual effects once possible only on desktop computers and game consoles.
Dual Microphones iPad Air has better sound efficiency as well, all thanks to its dual microphones. And they don’t just collect more sound — they work together to capture better sound by suppressing audio from the source you’re not focused on. The dual microphone lessens the background noise as well making all your recordings sound clearer. And Siri is even better at recognizing what you’re saying.

Sony
Xperia Z
Just as few months ago, Sony released its strongest flagship, the Sony Xperia Z. It was strong enough to compete head to head with other smartphones by that time. However, just recently Sony released a again almost an identical phone. Why and what will make Xperia Z users jump in to it and make them upgrade?
Let’s check it out! As with the Xperia Z, the Z1's 5-inch screen displays at full HD 1920 x 1080 resolutions. The new model comes with the same impressive build-quality and waterproof body as its predecessor and with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2GHz and backed up by the same 2GB of working RAM.
KEY PHOTOGRAPHIC VIDEO SPECIFICATIONS 20.7 MPÂ 1/2.3 Exmor RS CMOS sensor F2.0 lens
Sony is in pursuit of being the strongest camera phone nowadays and its features are subpar with the others. It has its own intended shutter button as well making it easier to press and release rather than the old virtual button on the screen and the added options like the Timeshift Burst & Burst Mode, Digital Zoom and Video and Still Image HDR makes it more fun to use.
Besides the upgraded aluminum chassis that rounds off the sharp edges of the Z in favor of a gentler, colder, metallic feel, the real headline feature is the 20.7 megapixel camera sensor, on paper a vast upgrade over the 13MP unit inside the older Z.

BATTLE OF LG OLED TV focuses on its vivid color and vibrant images. LG’s advanced 4 color pixel technology creates brighter pictures with wide range of colors and accuracy and True to Life images. It also boasts its infinite contrast feature with self lighting pixel technology. The OLED TV can range from blazing white to the darkest black and has a greater sense of realism and depth on all content. The stunningly curved of the LG OLED TV brings new feel on the style and design. With a depth of only 4.5mm thick at its thinnest point and just two layers, the TV is unbelievably lightweight and paper-thin . LG OLED is a Smart TV as well. This feature allows you to access premium content providers like Hulu Plus, Netflix and YouTube direct from your TV. One the Magic Remote gives simple and fun way to choose what you want to watch. Pointing, Gesture, Wheel, Voice, and Universal Control makes it the most convenient and advanced TV remote today.
Samsung’s OLED TV has a visibly curved surface, unlike any other flat panel, and is only 3mm thick. Since every pixel produces its own light, the displays are original and the colors vivid. The OLED (organic light-emitting diode) technology is a LED in which the emissive layer is a film of organic compound which emits light in response to electricity. Since an OLED display works without a backlight, it displays deep black levels and is thinner and lighter than LCD panels. Another pioneering feature which makes this TV stand out is its Multi-View capability. This feature allows two viewers to watch two completely different programs on the same TV, with complete Audio control by using the Samsung’s 3D Active glasses which come with built-in personal speakers. This function works even with different dimensions; one viewer can watch 2D content and the other may watch 3D content on the same TV with no interruptions in the two content. The Samsung OLED TV contains also all the features from the latest Samsung Smart TV features like the new Smart Hub interface, which organizes entertainment and content into three convenient panels: Social, Apps as well as Photos, Videos and Music.

The latest BlackBerry Z30 is the largest phone BlackBerry has ever produced so far. Least to say it has the largest screen at 5 inch of 1,280 x 720 Super AMOLED panel and far bigger than the Z10 can offer. Not only does it matches with the sizes of other smartphones today but at 2300 it matches phones like the Galaxy S4 on price too. However still BlackBerry is lacking on apps that goes with it so for now iPhone and Android devices are far better than them in this category. And as for the design, BlackBerry Z30 would rather be strong and reliable rather than the thin and slender typical phones nowadays. That is part of the reasoning behind the look of the phone’s back, which is made of a ‘glass weave’ plastic that looks a lot like carbon fiber and is twice as strong as normal plastic, according to BlackBerry. Overall there’s no doubt that this is a quality phone in most respects.

The New
Power Couple
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 The Note 3 is the newest phablet in town. With its 5.7 inch touchscreen display, it is too small to be classified as a tablet and yet too big to be called a phone. The Android-powered Note 3 is indeed a mini-computer, equipped with 3 gigabytes of RAM and a 2.3 GHz quad-core processor. Those internals allow the device to handle pretty much anything mobile app designers can throw at it. Plus Samsung also added new software features to pair with the included stylus, or S Pen which can read a handwritten word or number as though it were typed. The new design is a vast improvement over the plastic predecessor. The Note 3 sports a faux-leather back cover with fake stitching around the edges, giving the device a somewhat elegant appearance.
Samsung Galaxy Gear While it is stylish and features a responsive, 1.6-inch touchscreen display, the watch seems to lack on some other aspects that is necessary. Our reason is that it currently works only with the Note 3 and the latest Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet and pairs only via Bluetooth that limits the gap from the objects within roughly 25 feet of each other to stay connected. Galaxy Gear few worthwhile uses for the watch, other than to tell time, is answering calls. Useful enough to talk while driving rather than the handheld phones. The watch also allows for quick and easy captures of decent-quality images and video with the 2-megapixel camera that's on the front of the band. The media controller also on the watch is handy to start, stop and advance music when the Note 3 is paired with an external Bluetooth speaker. The smartwatch seems to be useful as well on receiving sms and facebook notifications however, with a little screen it would be hard to read on and doesn’t support replying back to messages.

Who would expect that the only thing this long time running saga will be freshen up with are sea shanties and new dimension.
Arkham Origin
Arguably the best among the franchise and don’t even let me get started with the story arc and graphics yet. Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag begins in 1715, when pirates established a lawless republic in the Caribbean and ruled the land and seas. Stand among legendary pirates such as Blackbeard, Calico Jack and Benjamin Hornigold, as you establish a lawless republic in the Bahamas and relive the truly explosive events that defined the Golden Age of Pirates.
Arkham Origins features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline occurring several years before the events of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. The game showcases a more young and raw Batman as he faces Gotham City’s most dangerous villains and assassins. Gameplay as usual is top of the line and not to ruin the thrill for those who haven’t grab their copy yet, the story line is so well written that you couldn’t stop playing through and waiting for more revelations. Like Arkham City, Arkham Origins is set in the open-world map of Gotham City that looks like a metropolis designed by the architects behind Gormenghast. Thanks to the Unreal Engine, Batman and nearly every goon in the city look like they’ve spent an awful lot of time down the gym. Players navigate the map using Batman’s cape to glide between the rooftops and his BatClaw to give him a boost through the air. The one-button-attack combat is still as sublime as ever and players are able to take on multiple attackers by mixing counters with punches and gradually building up a flow. There are predator rooms. There are puzzles to solve. There’s Batman’s range of wonderful toys and, yes, Batman’s Detective Vision is both present and correct.
Call of Duty: Ghost
One of the most few noted character in the video game is Deathstroke. He was one of the eight assassins hired by the criminal mob boss Black Mask to kill Batman on Christmas Eve night and shows a lot of skill to par with our hero. In addition to enchanced strength, speed and reflexes, Deathstroke possesses heightened brain functions that make him a master strategist and tactical genius.
Pokemon X and Y One of the longest video game in Nintendo’s history, but yet never grows old and get too boring to play, Pokemon X and Y is the latest sequel to our Pokemon trainer’s journey. This time your adventure takes place in the Kalos Region, home to beautiful skies and forests! The Kalos Region is full of interesting places to visit and explore and of course to hundreds of Pokemons out there. Same story plot from before, it all starts from choosing among three Pokemon in the lab to be your partner in your journey to collect eight gym badges and be the best trainer ever. Evil gets in your way that is planning something bad to the world by using Pokemon in their evil deeds (they wish to wipe out humanity and civilization to keep the planet in its pristine and beautiful state, huh). Anyway, it’s up to you to save the humanity against the really bad guys.
Call of Duty: Ghosts is the next game in the Call of Duty series, released for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 5th, 2013. Ghosts is also coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Wii U. The new Infinity Ward team has created an entirely new storyline and engine, which will bring Call of Duty to the next generation. The campaign and Multiplayer boast as usual their highly ellaborated visuals that makes Call of Duty striking to its players. While new features are added, Call of Duty: Ghost still depends on its unparalled visual prowess.
Still dominating the video games shelves all over the town is FIFA 14. Why wouldn’t? It is the fastest selling game in a football loving country. And what keeps the buzz a sound are the unique features the game has to offer (besides the 40 legendary players inside waiting for you to play).
Real Ball Physics
Real Ball Physics is one of the coolest components of the game. The ball behaves as it would in real life and trajectory of the game is ell computed as of how the action would be. It’s an extraordinary feat that really stands out in the game and fanatics will enjoy the physics behind the movements.
Precision Movement
FIFA 14 recreates the dynamic movement of real-world players. Precision Movement was created from new locomotion technology developed by the FIFA team. A solid feature that makes you feels a smooth transition through gameplay and made it more realistic than ever.
Pure Shot
Pure Shot was developed to enable players to feel the same emotion of scoring great goals in FIFA 14 that your favorite striker does on Saturday mornings. The best goals are a combination of perfect timing, anticipation, and great positioning.
Teammate Intelligence
FIFA 14 also enhanced the AI behind the game. Players seem to have better decision-making and teams will play smarter on both the attack and defense to bring the beauty of the game to life.
Deadpool Deadpool is an action-adventure game based on characters from the Deadpool comic book franchise. Players assume the role of Deadpool, a mercenary on a mission to hunt down and capture an evil millionaire. As players traverse enemy strongholds, they use an assortment of melee weapons (swords, sais, giant hammers) and firearms (pistols, machine guns, shotguns) to annihilate human soldiers and mutant enemies. Battles are frenetic and accompanied by screams, gunfire, and large splatter effects. Players can also employ stealth attacks, in which close-up camera angles depict more severe damage against enemies. Throughout the game, the protagonist provides irreverent commentary and jokes amidst the exaggerated acts of violence e.g., “No guts no glory” when hanging from his entrails; “Oh that’s gonna leave a mark” when dismembering an enemy; “That’s because you have more comics than me” when repeatedly beating a character on the ground. The dialogue also contains mature humor.
The story of the game is set with Deadpool accepting a mission to assassinate Chance White (he doesn’t know why he accepted, as he is merely following the part of the game’s script that he bothered to read), a corrupt media mogul whose television channel produces such quality programming as “Jump the Shark”, in which celebrities must literally jump over a tank of water containing a ravenous great white shark. Deadpool storms White’s media headquarters, slaughters the guards there, and tackles himself and White out of a window and into the sewers (blowing the game’s budget in the process). However, White is saved by Mister Sinister and his team, who then kills him after confirming that he has White’s satellites under his control. Deadpool is upset that his contract is gone and wants revenge on Sinister. Sinister escapes and Deadpool encounters Wolverine, Rogue, Psylocke, and Domino of the X-Men. The X-Men follow Mr. Sinister to Genosha, but Deadpool insists on flying their jet and crashes it, knocking everyone but himself unconscious (despite Deadpool’s attempts to wake Wolverine by slapping him repeatedly). While wandering through Genosha, Deadpool runs into Cable, who has come from the future to ensure that Sinister’s plan does not succeed. He attempts to inform Deadpool, but the latter becomes so bored that he shoots himself to avoid listening to Cable further. Deadpool, upon awakening, finds a message from Cable instructing him to rendezvous with him and “meet the incredibly hot and large-breasted naked fangirl who claims she’s his number 1 fan”, convincing Deadpool to regroup with Cable.
Deadpool then infiltrates a security tower housing Sinister against Cable’s wishes and kills Sinister, only to find out it was a clone. Cable convinces Deadpool to actually care about what happens to the world if Sinister succeeds by telling him that his favorite taco restaurant will be destroyed. Reconfiguring a Sentinel boot into a flying machine to go to Magneto’s citadel, Deadpool accidentally causes the foot to malfunction and crashes into Rogue in mid-air. After crashing, Rogue is taken by Blockbuster and Deadpool goes to save her, hoping to make her fall in love with him. After killing another Sinister clone, and Blockbuster, Deadpool rescues Rogue by letting her absorb his healing powers via kissing (this briefly allows Rogue to obtain Deadpool’s two personalities and homicidal tendencies). After he bleeds out, Deadpool briefly dies and unites with his love, Death. Death tells Deadpool that Sinister had been exhuming mutant bodies to obtain their unique DNAs, and she needs Deadpool to help retrieve the suffering souls. Deadpool agrees and returns to living, where he again meets Cable. Later, after reuniting with Wolverine on the surface, Deadpool travels further into the citadel, defeating Blockbuster, Vertigo, and Arclight again, and a group of Mister Sinister’s clones. The real Mister Sinister later shows up and, after knocking down the X-Men, Deadpool kills him by squashing him with the Sentinel boot. Deadpool wonders if Mister Sinister was real but Cable gives Deadpool the thumbs up and the credits roll. As Deadpool exudes joy over how awesome his game has been, High Moon calls him and admits that he really hadn’t blown their budget, at which Deadpool proceeds to actually do so by repeatedly creating explosions during the credits.

LG G2
Fresh Look, Better Feeling
REVIEWS
1 DESIGN
First thing that would impress you with LG G2 is how when you switch the phone on that front surface just comes to life. LG has squeezed a 5.2-inch screen into a phone with the same footprint as 5-inch devices like the Galaxy S4 1080p resolution. Alongside the IPS display, LG has added in Graphic RAM (GRAM), which adds a memory cache of the screen when static, meaning when the screen isn't changing, the CPU and GPU don't have to communicate, allowing the processor to cool down and saving on battery burn.
2 CAMERA
LG had pair its 13 megapixels count camera sensor with an optical image stabilizer. And as expected, the duo made crispier shots with less blur and noise. More pixels mean that your shots should also grab more detail. The focus slider allows users to maximize those macro shots, alongside tap-to-focus and face-tracking. The rear-facing volume keys can be used as shutter button as well, and most importantly a button for zoom.
3 VIDEO
The quality of the videos produced are outstanding as well. You can lock focus on something (like someone's face) while capturing video by tapping on it in the viewfinder. There's also a new camera software function for video, Audio Zoom, which uses three built-in stereo mics to amplify sounds in a specific direction. Unfortunately, you have to digitally zoom in, meaning any improvements in audio quality come at the cost of visual performance.
4 SOFTWARE LG is build with Google's Android 4.2.2 that brings along Google Now and Project Butter smoothness for the ride, but LG's added its own twist, in part to assist with those rear-facing buttons. Everything you saw on the Optimus G Pro is here on the G2, like the dual-camera modes to record video from both the front and back lenses, and the QSlide floating mini apps, allowing you to window off some of the core apps (calendar, internet, calculator).
5 PERFORMANCE The G2 houses 2GB of RAM, Qualcomm's 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and 16GB 32GB of non-expandable storage. It uses the improved Adreno 330 graphics processor, meaning slicker existing games. With all these specs that goes along the slick design, LG G2 is a beast that runs smoothly in wild.
6 BATTERY
When it came to battery life, LG G2 didn’t failed to impress as well. With a 3,000mAh battery it is enough to support fully high-end processor and large 1080p screen ticking along. Under heavy use, LG G2 easily able to cross over the 20-hour mark, with regular use of GPS, WiFi and voice calls, all with the screen on at least half-brightness.
CONCLUSION Overall the LG G2 surprises everyone with its new innovations and all. The new button positions are not a gimmick, but they take some getting used to and indeed. The double-tap to unlock is a fair showcase of its smart solutions. The OS feels denser and more complicated than a vanilla Android build, but there are still a few gems to ensure LG's skin is worth using. With that battery life, Google and LG could oblige us with a Play version, or maybe we'll see specs crammed into the next Nexus.
Fujifilm X-M1, is yet another innovation in mirror-less cameras. As the line between full frame and cropped sensors diminishes, mirror-less cameras with APS-C (Advanced Photo System type-C) sensors brings a whole new genre to photography world. Fujifilm started off with launching the X-Series with the unique X-Trans sensor that removed anti-aliasing filter to give more detailed images. Latest to X-Series is the X-M1, which has the same sensor technology, it is the smallest and most affordable X-Series camera, combining both the retro style and features of a professional camera.
Fujifilm X-M1
Bringing Yesterday Today The newly-designed body of the Fujifilm X-M1 is less metal and more polycarbonate plastic than the previous X-series models, but it’s quite smaller and lighter. Dimensions are approximately 4.6 x 2.6 x 1.5 inches (117 x 66 x 38mm). It weighs 11.6 ounces (329g) with battery and flash card, as compared to 12.3 ounces for the X-E1, and 15.9 ounces for the X Pro1. The basic layout places most buttons and controls at the right side of the camera for one-handed operation, and there’s a physical Mode dial that makes it easily accessible to double check your current operating mode. Fuji has removed the shutter speed dial and replaced it with a standard mode dial like the ones found on nearly every digital camera. Top of the camera is the shutter release, exposure compensation/ shutter speed dial, hot-shoe, build-in flash and power switch, along with one programmable function button (which by default is the wireless connect switch). The bottom of the camera has the battery and SD card compartment. The tripod mount is located off-center of the lens, extremely close to the door, hence you won’t be able to access vthe battery or card if the camera is mounted on a tripod. The X-series also introduces for the very first time a dedicated video recording button, which sits comfortably inside a recessed rim. The X-M1 now features a tilting monitor that helps out with framing shots over your head, or low to the ground. A 920,000 dot LCD panel can tilt up over 90 degrees and down about 80 degrees. It’s bright, clear and sharp, and composing images using the rear screen is quite easy. Fujifilm X-M1 uses a 16.3 million pixel, APS-C sized X-Trans CMOS sensor. The sensor and processing of the Fujifilm X-M1 allows for a sensitivity range of ISO 200-6400, which is expandable to ISO 100-25,600. The maximum resolution of images is 4896 x 3264 pixels, and images can be saved as raw or JPEG files, with the raw files saved in Fujifilm’s proprietary RAF format. Up to 30 JPEG images, or 10 raw images, can be shot in a burst, with a 5.6 fps maximum continuous shooting speed.

Up to 30 JPEG images, or 10 raw images, can be shot in a burst, with a 5.6 fps maximum continuous shooting speed. A lot of new features have been introduced in this camera; it’s the first X-Series camera to feature Wi-Fi connectivity. You can transfer images to a mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet, transfer GPS location data to the camera for geo-tagging of images, and send images to your computer over your home’s wireless network. This is a most useful feature for me as a photographer, which allows me to quickly share images with my clients on the move. The X-M1 also shoots videos at Full HD resolution, that’s 1,920 x 1,080 pixels with a rate of 30 frames per second, commonly known as 1080p. The frame rate is increased from the 24p offered by previous models. Audio is recorded of a built-in stereo microphone, and there’s no external microphone jack. The X-M1 is a fine entry-level compact camera bundled up with semi-pro features. It combines good handling, style and great image quality. The only missing quality was the viewfinder, for the first few days, I had frequently held it up to my eye and was disappointed but after a while I got used to looking at the LCD. Although without the viewfinder it loses something of the essence of the X-Pro1 and X-E1. The most useful feature for me was the Wifi connectivity, which I used quite often to transfer the photos to my iPad and iPhone using the free Fujifilm camera App. The transferring and connection was instantaneous. Probably the most fun and exciting feature.

Nokia Lumia
1020
The pitch of the Lumia 1020 is simple: it offers best in class photography, with lossless zoom, tons of editing features, 1080p video and impressive low-light performance. But does this spectacular imaging handset double as a decent smartphone also?
Design Exact measurements are 130x71x10mm and the Lumia 1020 weighs in at 158g, making it 10g lighter than the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 but substantially heavier than Apple’s 112g iPhone 5S. It does feel chunky in the hand and it won’t sit flush to a surface on account of the 3mm bulge at the top of the back panel where the PureView lens resides.
Display The Lumia 1020 uses a 1020x768 AMOLED setup that comes fully loaded with bespoke display technologies like PureMotion HD+, Brightness control, High brightness mode and a 60Hz refresh rate that elevates the handset well beyond what its pixel count would have you believe.
Hardware The Lumia 1020 runs a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and 2GB of RAM. Performance is slick, and everything, including the PureView camera and its plethora of features, is handled without so much of a hint of lag. There are delays when processing images and the mechanical shutter does drag a bit, but aside from this performance is tip-top.
Storage
Pureview
The Nokia Lumia is available in two storage varieties: 32GB and 64GB. There’s no 16GB option, and that means you’ll pay a little more for the handset. Card support via microSD is also missing in action, but you do get 7GB of free SkyDrive storage that is very handy for storing images and documents.
The Lumia 1020 also features optical image stabilization (OIS) out the box, lossless zoom, a backside-illuminated image sensor (BSI), 6-lens optics, and 3x high resolution zoom. You also get a wealth of bespoke Nokia editing apps –– Nokia Smart Camera, Cinemagraph lens, Panorama lens, Bing vision, PhotoBeamer, Creative Studio, Nokia Glam Me, Nokia Pro Camera –– for hacking, splicing and re-working your captured images. Holistically it is the most complete imaging suite I’ve ever tested on a phone and I spent hours tinkering will all the features and settings. Images captured using the PureView lens are superb with excellent quality, near-perfect colour reproduction, and amazing low-light performance. As it stands there is nothing else on the market that even comes close to what you can capture using this monstrosity – not even Samsung’s Galaxy Camera or the Galaxy Zoom. Taking shots on the camera and getting decent results is simple: just point and click – you’ll get very impressive shots with minimal effort. Dig a little deeper and you’ll find a wealth of settings and parameters, complete with an excellent and very easy to use UX, that allow you to create truly unique images.
Operating System Nokia Lumia 1020, like most of its selection under its series, uses Windows 8 OS. The interface is presented in a tile-based UI and certainly has a striking appeal and is very much a unique beast amongst its peers. It’s also extremely simple to use and very easy on the eye with its cascading application layouts and silky smooth scrolling. However, Microsoft has still lots of things to work on. After almost three years, app support still isn’t great [although it is improving] and, believe it or not, there is still no drop-down notifications center – which is a real gripe for us.
Camera the PureView camera aboard the Lumia 1020 is the main event here – it’s why 99.9% of people will buy this phone. Inside that 3mm bulge on the back of the handset you’ll find a 41-megapixel Carl Zeiss Tessar Lens complete with f/2.2 aperture and a gigantic 1/1.5-inch sensor.

T3 is lighter than its predecessors, and loaded with simple connections for gaming consoles, PCs, home theater components, tablets and smartphones to enjoy a jaw-dropping view on a massive virtual screen size that brings a cinematic, home theater viewing experience into a portable, wearable device.

NINTENDO 2DS AED 749.00 The Nintendo 2DS is an entry-level version of the Nintendo 3DS which maintains compatibility with software designed for the Nintendo DS and 3DS, but uses a new slate-like design rather than the clamshell design used by its precursors and lacks the Nintendo 3DS’s signature autostereoscopic 3D functionality. Similarly to the Nintendo 3DS, all Nintendo 2DS systems include the Nintendo 3DS Camera app, which is a photo and video recorder with a media gallery and photo editing functionality. The Nintendo 3DS Sound app, which is a sound player with voice recording and music playback functionality and the following multitasking applications: Game Notes, where users can write and save notes; Friend List, a list with all registered friends throughout all Nintendo 3DS systems; Notifications, used to notify about StreetPass and SpotPass data; Internet Browser ; and Camera, a lightweight version of the Nintendo 3DS Camera app with most features omitted. All Nintendo 3DS games are playable on the Nintendo 2DS in 2D mode. Retail copies of games are supplied on proprietary cartridges called Nintendo 3DS Game Cards, which are packaged in keep cases with simple instructions. Unlike with previous Nintendo consoles, the complete software manual is only available digitally via the system’s Home Menu. Retail and download-only games are also available for download in the Nintendo eShop.
iON AIR PRO 2 AED 920.00 Despite the large number of action cams on the market, many of them aren’t waterproof without a housing. Some of them can’t even be mounted without some sort of casing. The iON Air Pro 2, however, is both mountable and waterproof without a housing. It’s also very compact and lighter than much of the competition. And thanks to a unique expansion system, accessories can be added to the camera to meet different needs. Video quality is very good, too, and although I have a few issues with it, none are deal breakers for me. Basically, the Air Pro 2’s design bests a lot of the its competitors and in general is a pretty solid little action camera at a reasonable price.
PANNICLE STUDIO 16 AED 495.00
Studio 16 Ultimate is the top version of Pinnacle’s latest consumer video editing application. Studio is one of the longest-standing brands in its field, and has passed through numerous hands. The latest owner, as of about a year ago, is Corel. So Studio 16 sits alongside VideoStudio 16, with which it used to be a direct competitor, and in some ways now is even more so. Support for 3D video and images and has Powerful Red Giant plug-ins included within the box. It allows you to imports projects from previous version too. It is the ultimate video editing software today which basically let you do virtually anything.
FUJIFILM INSTAX MINI 8 AED 549.00 The Fujifilm Instax mini 8 is a basic point and shoot camera that takes instant photos and develops them like an old school Polaroid camera. The analogue camera looks like a toy and and is guaranteed to have serious hipster appeal. Available in five colours (white, blue, pink, yellow, black), the Instax mini 8 looks like a big kids toy from its matte plastic finish, chunky lens and big buttons. Despite its hulking size compared to today’s compact cameras, the Instax mini 8 weighs just 307g and is 10% slimmer than previous Instax models. It’s not exactly pocket-friendly, but it’s light enough to throw into a bag without trouble. The Instax mini 8 only uses Fuji Instax film that comes in packs of 10 and measure 62 x 46mm. That’s about the size of a credit card, so these pictures are on the small size. Packs can cost around AED 75.00 making the mini 8 a costly investment in the long run.

6 Steps to Enterprise-class Mobile Security
1 2
Assessing IT’s role in Mobility – IT can no longer rule by dictate, but it must maintain control. Despite restricted budgets and resources, and potentially limited expertise in mobile security, it has to adapt to flexible device choice and a world of evolving markets. Identifying classes of users and their needs/wants – Users should be classified by organizational role, by task, and by group. Each must have defined access, device and data policies set. Execs may have very different privileges than admins. Granular policy setting is the key.
3 4
Defining device classes and capabilities/shortcomings – Devices should be classified by OS, factor and usage. Each class of device should have specific associated policies. Some devices may have enough native onboard capability that many will not. Creating and enforcing effective p0olicies to users/devices – The organization must define which users get which devices, what data types go to which device types, who sets the policies and how they get enforced. User choice is fine, but it must be balanced by specific acceptable use practices and strict enforcement.
5
Understanding the mobile “Risk Profile” – Each organization has a risk profile which includes assessment of regulatory compliance requirements and in which vertical industry it operates. All companies have security risks and must set thresholds accordingly.
6
Creating and implementing a “Strategic Plan” – The company must create a strategic plan that that identifies actionable items to deploy needed security enhancements to devices, platforms and user group, and define supplemental security product requirements. Selecting the right security add-on can make the difference between a safe corporate environment and a disaster. And planning for rapid change is also critical.

8 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULDN’T BUILD A MOBILE APP FOR YOUR BUSINESS
Smartphone’s poor battery life is one of the biggest annoyances in the gadgets that we love. In fact it has the biggest impact on consumer satisfaction and we hope that there would come a time that running out of juice for our mobile phones will last a little longer than it does now. I guess sooner or later, manufacturers will do something for this. But for now, we just need to find ways to save ourselves from the problem. Here are some tips to help us from consuming more of our battery life:
Turn it Off
Obviously, the No. 1 battery saving tip for your smartphone, is to turn it off. If you’re in a dead zone, or you need to conserve some battery for later, then you should definitely just turn it off. Turning off some of the other functions not needed for the time being like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, or anything else on when you aren’t using it can be helping us a lot. Turning off the vibration can be of help too. And lowering the brightness and volume to the point where it is still ok can save more of your juices.
Managing your Screen
As smartphone screens get bigger, the display is responsible for eating more and more of the battery life. On Android you can go into Settings > Battery, or Settings > About phone > Battery use and see exactly what ate your battery. Invariably, your screen will be top of the list. We’ve already mentioned reducing the brightness level. That will have an impact. You can also decrease the screen timeout. You’ll find it in Settings > Display. Make it as low as you possibly can before you find it terribly frustrating that your screen keeps turning itself off. On Windows Phone you’ll find the option in Settings > Lock + wallpaper > Screen times out after. On BB10 it’s Settings > Display > Screen Lock Timeout. If you have an AMOLED screen, then you can save battery by using a dark background. The technology turns off pixels when they are black, so if you have predominantly black wallpaper, then you can actually save a lot of juice.
Know How Batteries Respond
Sitting in direct sunlight on the dashboard of your car will actually drain the battery faster. So keeping it in a cooler place can help you a lot on saving batteries. Most smartphones have lithium-ion batteries in them. One thing that many people do which can degrade the battery’s health is to leave it plugged in after it is fully charged. If you’re going to charge your phone overnight, then try to use a charger that shuts off once the battery is full. It’s also best not to let your battery fully discharge too often.
Juice Defender (Android) Juice Defender optimizes power consumption to give you extra hours of battery life. This app runs by itself, improving battery life behind the scenes by intelligently managing the battery-draining components of your phone.
Battery Doctor (iOS) Battery Doctor Pro is one of the most accurate and up to date battery apps in the app store. It uses the latest technology to bring battery stats to you in real time and accurately. It also let you know how long it will take to fully recharge your iPhone or iPod so that you can schedule your time effectively. The accurate system information display is easy to understand and let you know about the system operation conditions.
Battery PRO + (Windows) Battery Pro+ allows you to fully control the battery power usage of your smart phone. This app is an incredibly user friendly app, which enables you to check the battery status in percentage, check the hourly power usage, check the time left for the battery to discharge and shows the range of battery usage in the last 48 hours.
Battery Lover (BlackBerry) Battery Lover is an all in one battery monitor, one of the most popular battery monitoring for BlackBerry 10. Tips to
avoid lagging Even though we have met the requirements it needed during the installment, a lot of us experience lagging in our computer system while playing our favorite games. It is not that our system specs has been quickly outdated, however there could be a good chance that your computer isn’t even running at its optimum performance. A cluttered hard disk or outdated graphics card can go a long way to slowing down your going system. So below are a number of tips to optimize your computer for gaming, an allow you to play more games with your current set up.
Regular Maintenance
TUTORIALS
Like any piece of hardware, taking care of it is the most essential part so that its value and performance would not deteriorate. This is true especially when it regards with computer systems. Having a regular maintenance will help to keep its quality. So here are few things that could allow you to keep up with your gaming needs.
Hard Drive Space First and foremost, make sure you still have some space left on your hard drive. I know a lot of people who operate at, or even above 95% of maximum storage capacity. Not only does this give you little breathing room, your computer will also run slower because of it. Get rid of it or save them in an external hard drive would be a better preference.
Defragmenting When using a hard drive, space is used wherever available. As such, some files are fragmented all over the disk. The defragment utility analyzes your hard drive, and attempts to consolidate those fragmented files, in an attempt to optimize your computer and speed up your system.
Efficient Use Of Processing Power A computer can only run so many tasks and modern games can already be incredibly complicated, so there’s little sense in straining your system. Having all applications open at the same time is not very smart thing to do. So if you are experiencing freezing on the screen, it is advisable to check what applications are running and turn it off. While playing close down as many of those as you can, but leave sound and graphics controllers alone.
(Custom) Graphics Card Drivers Your graphics card is an essential part of your gaming system. It does the heavy lifting when 3D graphics are rendered. As such, it’s an absolute must to keep your graphics drivers updated as well. In case your graphics card has trouble keeping up, you can always use custom gaming drivers.Omega Drivershave added customizability, and a number of optimizations and internal tweaks to give them that extra edge over normal drivers, which“are often tailored for synthetic benchmarks”, according to the Omega Drivers headsman.
Updates Updates actuallyimproveyour system’s performance by fixing known bugs. This updates are necessary for your computer so that whatever glitches that your system meets will be resolved. Every now and then there are changes in the applications that are running through your system, so having these updates will allow you to keep up with it.
Put Your PC in ‘Gaming Mode’ With Vista Service Vista Services is a nifty little freeware system optimizer. Alas, we’re only going to use it for one specific feature; Gaming Mode. As expected, gaming mode temporarily optimizes your computer for playing games. This is done by shutting down a number of trivial and unnecessary Windows services. This will give your computer that extra boost for playing games. Other features of the Gaming Mode will help you close unnecessary programs and tune down Windows visual effects.
8WhyReasons You Shouldn’t Build a Mobile App for Your Business By Alexander Rauser, CEO of Prototype Interactive Apps are hip and everyone wants to build them. Every day new startups, individuals and businesses are entering the mobile apps market to gain exposure, add value or sell a service. We at Prototype Interactive think a lot about the viability of having an app or not, based on our customers’ enquiries. Below are our top 8 scenarios where you want to reconsider, or consider, building a mobile app.
1
You don’t care about location One of the key benefits of having a mobile app is that it allows you to target users based on their current location. Providing location-based services such as directions, points of interest or offers can be a powerful mobile marketing tool. If your infrastructure and business allow you to utilize this feature then a mobile app can add great value.
2
You don’t care about location Push notifications allow you to send messages to your app user base, but instead of sending updates to your entire audience, dynamic offers can be a great way to push extremely relevant information to a highly targeted audience. Imagine you operate multiple outlets and could send a notification to every customer nearby with a promotional code. Scenarios like this can boost sales and be a good feature to include in your own app.
3
The mobile budget you have is just enough for the app itself There are millions of apps in the different app stores and standing out is becoming more and more difficult. While you may have the greatest app in the world, marketing your app to increase downloads is just as important as having a useful app to start. Building a successful app can be expensive, thus making sure it gets onto as many screens as possible is vital.
4
You don’t care about frequent use Apps are meant to be sticky, this means they get installed on the users’ device and are re-used as often as possible. If your app concept is just good for one time use you may as well create a mobile website. The functionality of your app needs to encourage its frequent use. This provides a great way to stay top of mind with your customers.
5
A unique user experience that enhances productivity is not important to you Of course you want a unique user experience, but what this really means is that your app needs to make things easier. If it’s not easier than navigating a website and does not bring a convenient factor to the user then your efforts may be wasted. Sometimes an app is better off doing one thing extremely well, rather than of many things poorly.
6
You do not want to have the responsibility of owning your own app. With great power comes great responsibility, that’s even true for apps. Apps mean to invest into a serious development effort. Developing an app as a one off undertaking will only get you into the app store, but once it’s alive the real work starts. From analytics, updates, enhancements and maintenance the mobile platforms are constantly changing and require any app owner to invest into maintaining their apps.
7
You don’t know what responsive website really means. Surely you have a website already, but if your website is not responsive when accessing it from tablets and mobiles, you may want to change your development plans and include the mobile web as part of your top priorities. It’s not a secret that users spend increasing time browsing on their phones and tablet devices as compared to desktop computers. Having an optimized web presence is key.
8
You still think apps are a fad In this case you will most likely not even consider building an app. Every day you hear the mind-blowing numbers of mindnumbing smartphone sales and billions of apps downloaded in the last year. These numbers sound exciting, but if you do not fit in one of the scenarios previously mentioned, then apps are maybe not right for you just yet. The good news is that apps are just one of the many ways you can get your brand exposed.

Made in Asia Apple`s Top Chipmaker Weeks before the new iPhones were realeased, rumors were rife about Samsung losing out to TMSC for the production of the A6 and A7 chips. The rumors turned out to be untrue, for now. Samsung was identified as the manufacturer of both chips on the new iPhones. High demand for both products might mean other manufacturers also eventually supply the all-important application processor chps.
Fabless Chip Production, Fabulous Profits Outsourcing is the key to Apple`s supply chain success. Apple outsurces manufacturing and assembly to suppliers. Many suppliers are “fabless” (no company-owned fabrication facilties) and, in turn, outsource fabrication. Companies headquartered in the US and Europe subcontact fabrication to Asian companies. Many of these Asian companies based in Japan, Taiwan and South Korea then outsource fabrication production. that`s how everything ends up being “Made in China.” Singapore, Malaysia, Tahiland, and the Philippines get a lot of the action, too mostly as suppliers for back-end components.
Asian companies reinforce the region`s manufacturing dominance in Apple`s supply chain Familiar names play their ussual supply roles, but Apple`s recent release of its 2013 suppliers list has brought attention to some new names. In China, a factory constructed a dormitory even before signing a contract so its employees could work 12-Hour shifts. When the deal was sealed, 8,000 workers were roused from sleep, given a biscuit and tea, and they started fitting glass screens into the iPhone to produce 10,000 iPhones a day.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is essentially the Galaxy Note 8.0 minus the S-Pen. It’s the same Galaxy smartphone-inspired design from the curvy edges, glossy white plastic back and silver metal band. Samsung has opted for the same 1,280 x 800 resolution screen found in the Galaxy Note 8.0.
Lenovo’s ThinkPad devices have always been popular with business users, but now the ThinkPad Tablet 2 aims to condense the ThinkPad experience into a 10.1in slate. Nexus 10 has an even higher pixel density than the iPad’s. Its 10in screen uses an IPS panel with a resolution of 2,560x1,600, giving a pixel density of 300ppi however colors weren’t quite as vibrant as on Apple’s tablet, so images didn’t have quite as much punch.

Weird
Gadgets As time progresses tech and gadgets seems to surmount everything already. But yet science is too young to stop and still a lot of interesting things come along are way. Some are very well thought and seems to have a lot of promise in the market but some, we might say gives you a smirk on that face. So here we go, let us share a few of the err innovations that is sold in the market.
Solar Bikini
While sun bathing it is always good to relax with an ipod attached to your ear. But what if the battery runs out? Worry no more, Andrew Schneider invented a bikini that will recharge those juices. In 2006, he came out with a brilliant idea of attaching photovoltaic film strips with a 5 volt regulator in the bikini so you can charge those gadgets while exposing yourself under the sun. Rumors say also that he is working on a male prototype call iDrink that will produce enough power to cool a beer. Huh talk about thinking ahead, right?
LED Umbrella Are you a diehard Star Wars fanatic? Then this might be the perfect shield for you on a rainy day. One of those geek companies out there came out with a not to cheesy idea of making a light saber kind of handle for an umbrella. Guess it won’t just help you ready from rain but also for Darth Vader if ever you meet him in the street.
Laptop Steering Wheel Survey says a lot of car accidents happen while drivers are on their mobile phones. Then what about this? A laptop holder in front of your steering wheels. Huh? Definitely not suitable while driving and can be used only while at park, but again, Huh?
Cellphone Retro Handset
Camera Gun
First of all why will you need a handset for your mobile phones? Second, why do you have to bring a bigger handset for your mobile phone? Third, why would someone invent something like this? Just really don’t make sense at all.
Would it be hard to smile if a gun is pointed out in you? Japanese doesn’t think so. This pistol like gadget is actually a camera that supposed to make you say cheese. It works like a gun by where you can load a magnesium bullet cartridge that will spur out the pistol once it is fired. It will also make a loud bang on the process but instead of dropping dead the person in front, it will catch its perfect smile ready for print.
