Pet World Arabia: Middle East’s first comprehensive B2B pet expo
The two-day show from May 5-6, 2023 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre happens in the backdrop of growing pet owner community in the world
The first ever comprehensive pet expo in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region that will encompass a large gamut of the pet industry trade will open for two days from May 5-6, 2023 at the Dubai International Convention Centre.

The expo comes in the wake of the rising number of pet owners and enthusiasts from across the world as well as in the MENA region, with concomitant increase in pet trade - from live animals to pet food, accessories to veterinary products and professionals.
“The Middle East may still be a nascent market, but it is on a fast growth curve in pet adoption leading to a boom in trade associated with the upkeep of pets, and Pet World Arabia is positioned as a comprehensive platform for pet industry players to take advantage of the market’s continuing surge in demand,” said Rajesh Nair, Exhibition Manager, of Pet World Arabia, organized by Dubai’s pioneer in exhibitions, Al Fajer Information and Services. Pet World Arabia also has a B2C component as there will be live pet fashion shows of cats and dogs and exhibition of pets that will help fuel enthusiasm further in pet ownership.
Exhibitor registrations for Pet World Arabia has been happening at a brisk pace and as of now over 80 companies spanning pet food, accessories, pet grooming etc, have confirmed participation for the show.
‘Pet ownership got a shot in the arm during and the lockdown days of COVID. During the pandemic days, pet ownership rose exponentially world over with Forbes estimating the growth in the US market alone at 78 per cent. Middle East is catching pace as well as vouched by the growth in demand for pet food alone, apart from other products and services,” said Rajesh.
According to a study by Market Data Forecast, the Middle East and Africa (MEA) pet food market was estimated to be at US$4.96 billion in 2021, and it is projected to reach US$6.13 billion by 2026 at a CAGR of 4.32 per cent during 2021-2026. With the robust pet industry market scenario world over as well as in the region, exhibitors have joined the show with enthusiasm to leverage growth. Along with the expo, Pet World Arabia also includes a seminar organized by the Emirates Veterinary Association with experts scheduled to share their views. The veterinary experts at the seminar will include head of key organizations like Dubai Safari Park, Dubai Municipality and Al Ain Zoo, to name a few.
