Necon Pet Food was founded in 2005 as a pet food manufacturer, setting as its mission the research and development of dog food with high quality ingredients. Although innovation-oriented, Necon Pet food production has always been accurate and controlled, typical characteristics of artisanal meticulousness.

Necon Pet food developed new ranges of dry dog food: No Gluten and Zero Grain, and to these it added, following strong demand, a super-premium line for cats: Natural Wellness, which complements the same line for mini-sized dogs.

Necon - 3 simple principles

All Necon pet food formulations have three points in common:

1. Simplicity of the recipe.

Each Necon pet food recipe is made up of only a few natural ingredients and only of the highest quality, because the well-being of the animals comes first.

2. Quality of raw materials.

Each supplier is carefully selected so that the raw materials are safe and controlled.

3. Double processing with cold finishing. Necon is distinguished by its unique production process that selectively processes ingredients by subjecting them to different heat and production treatments. Starches and carbohydrates are processed at ideal temperatures to optimise gelatinisation, thus improving digestibility. Proteins and fats undergo a low-temperature process to optimally preserve their nutritional value and organoleptic characteristics, and previously dehydrated animal proteins are applied to the outside of the kibble, improving both the nutritional quality of the product and its palatability. Necon Pet Food’s added value comes from knowledge and passion, which contribute to the production of unique, state-of-the-art dog and cat food such as Salmoil.

In 2018, from an idea of owner Andrea Conforti, Necon Petfood launched a true novelty: Salmoil, an inimitable line of complementary foods for dogs and cats to supplement their daily Omega 3 requirements in a natural way.

Numerous scientific evidences have demonstrated the healthy effects of ‘essential fatty acids’ in dogs and cats and how essential they are in the diet, as a deficiency of these can lead to dysfunctions in the body.

Aluminium is resistant, shields from light and is not permeable to air, so it protects the precious contents from oxidation for longer. In addition, this preference has proven to be highly sustainable. The Salmoil bottle is infinitely recyclable. It can be disposed of by following the instructions of the local waste collection consortium regarding the handling of aluminium.

The decision not to use a push-pump type dispenser is geared towards preserving the product’s characteristics and avoiding blowing oxygen, a pro-oxidant material, into the packaging. The elegant and robust cap makes the pack completely hermetic, to better preserve the food and preserve its essential properties.
