DEVELOPMENTS AT OUR SALES DEPARTMENT FROM SOURCE TO PROCESS. Our Sales department has had many developments over the past 60 years, from product to market-oriented thinking; product specialization, market specialization and even process specialization.

Stephen de Ruijter (Project Coordinator) working on site with our customer. The Project Coordinator manages the project from an overall view (Helicopter view) with a dedicated focus and attention on the project. This will give clarity in communication and coordination. The Project Coordinator will select the right people and recources within Teesing from different departments so that the combined strenghts will result in an optimum result. Experience the added value of the Teesing Project Coordinator in your project!

Knowledge Our Sales Engineers have got a broad range of knowledge in all the above fields and have become a strategic partner for our customers. We noticed a change at our customers, complex technical knowledge is now being outsourced to partners who can think along with them, from the creation of a project until implementation. Developing and building the complete assembly; from sketch to fully operational. Project Coordinator This growing demand for advice and guidance on major projects resulted in the creation of a new function within the Teesing Sales Department: The Project Coordinator. The project coordinator will have complete

overview of the project and is the main contact person. Having contact with all keypersons/departments/suppliers to make sure the right solutions are found within the given timeframe. Engineering department Of course, our Engineering Department will be involved in an early stage whether it involves streamlining and adapting existing assemblies and modules or assembling a solution from scratch. This focused attention and complete overview and knowledge of projects will result in: • Efficiency • Ease of communication • Reduced TCO • Engagement of the relevant resources • Solutions within the given timeframe

CLEAN SLEEVE QUICK COUPLING

N! O T O P S IAL R SPEC F OU SOME O CTS IN THE D PRO U GHTS... SPOTLI

The clean sleeve quick coupling originated by the lack of traceablility and cleanliness of the normal version. This new Stainless Steel coupling results in: • Reduced release of particles • Marked with a production batch and identification code (full traceability). • The design can be used in High purity applications and is packaged in double cleanroom bags.

TEESING BALL VALVE

Have you already heard of the Teesing ball valve with DIN connectors directly fabricated on to the ball enclosure? Before we created this ball valve there has been a thorough analysis of our currently used ball valves. A sample of this valve with DIN 11851 connectors (3D printed) is available for modelling. Advantages: • No welding after testing of the valve • No dismounting of the valve after production • No mounting of new seals • Less risk of leakage

HEAT TRACING... A SIMPLE INSTALLATION? During the installation of an instrument, it is sometimes necessary to heat the pipes or tubing.“A simple installation..” you might think, though there appear to be some practical problems. DETERMINING THE MISTAKES Pipes are predominantly insulated with foam insulation. This insulation is exposed to weather conditions and for example, birds that peck it. The masking tape is often used as a temporarily solution or the placement of aluminum plating, which is time consuming and expensive. In addition, the piping suddenly becomes the support of both tracing and insulation. The insulation around the tube easily comes loose and then the problem starts with maintaining the temperature of the piping. TEESING OFFERS THE ONE STOP SOLUTION As a solution we offer you a pre-insulated and possibly traced tube. Combining three processes into one solution: mounting the tube, installing the tracing and installing the insulation with (waterproof) outer shell. ADVANTAGES: • Reduced labor and a better end-result • Less work transfer • Less contractors involved • Possibility of ECM If you want more information please contact our sales engineers or check out our website! www.teesing.com

Real-time measuring of particulate matter in the stock farming industry

REAL-TIME MEASURING OF PARTICULATE MATTER IN A BROAD RANGE OF AREAS THE DUST SENTRY IS AN AFFORDABLE LIGHTWEIGHT EXTERNAL MONITOR SPECIFICALLY BUILT FOR CONTINUOUS MONITORING OF PARTICULATE MATTER. In addition to the emmissions caused by cars, the livestock industry is also responsible for a large share of total emissions of particulate matter in the Netherlands. Although urban air has become cleaner on average, many areas still exceed the maximum levels outside the city limits. High levels of particulate matter are consistently and independently related to serious health effects such as asthma, lung cancer, cardiovascular problems, birth defects and premature death. Inhalation of very fine particles (PM 2.5) can lead to very deep penetration of the lungs. But also larger particles (PM10) will not be filtered by the nose and mouth, can lodge in the lungs and cause health problems.

Teesing offers a wide range of products to monitor air quality indoor and outdoor. The Dust Sentry is an affordable lightweight external monitor specifically built for continuous and real-time measurement and reporting of fine dust and particles - PM10, 2.5 and 1. We also supply a more extended version of these stations, the AQM60, is able to measure other gases, such as ozone, nitrogen dioxide or carbon monoxide in real time. We also supply various handheld gas monitors for accurate measurement and logging of various gases that occur frequently in the (dairy and poultry) livestock like Ammonia (NH 3), methane (CH4) and NO2.

CUSTOMER’S VIEW SUIKERUNIE DEVELOPS, PRODUCES AND SELLS SUGAR AND SUGAR SPECIALTIES. > Jan van der Velde, Staff executive E&I “On the advice of the Teesing sales engineer we created uniformity in the materials”. “The relationship with Teesing and the Suikerunie dates back to the 70s, when the process automation was largely pneumatic. Suikerunie decided to change from the brass Simplifix couplings to the radial mounting dismounting Serto coupling (brass G). Later on we structured the great diversity in stainless steel couplings and we switched over to the stainless steel program of Serto (another big advantage is that brass and stainless steel couplings are not interchangeable). In the future we hope to take advantage of the multitude of opportunities that Teesing can offer us”.

ECORUNNER 4

As an expert in the field of high-quality connections Teesing supports teams of various technical universities in Holland with components and more importantly; knowledge and advice. Similarly, the Ecorunner Team of the Technical University of Delft. The goal of this team is to design and produce extremely fuel efficient vehicles. This team strives for a very low consumption which is equivalent to 5,000 km on one liter of petrol The results of recent SEM (Shell Eco Marathon) do not lie: a consumption of 397 miles per kWh, which is equivalent to 3524km per liter of petrol. 4 | TEESING CONNECT! ISSUE 4 JUNE 2014

The team got involved with Teesing to design a new fuel cell that eventually will be 30% more efficient. In this case: there will be actually 30% more energy available to drive the motor. Team Manager A. Spoelstra and Chief Engineer J. van den Berg are very pleased with the way Teesing has contributed to the new design. “We have achieved a weight reduction of 15% along with a sustainable solution, which easily assembles and disassembles. We can now even work faster and easier on the car during the SEM”. In addition, the team is also very enthusiastic about the customer focus and service. “All we had to do is send an email and Teesing quickly responded with an appropriate proposal.”
