Q&A How does using a soaking tub save water? FuroHealth® hot and cold soaking tubs use state-of-the-art ozonation and filtration systems to purify and sanitize the water. Combined with our simple water maintenance program, you can keep the same water for 12 months or more.
Do I use less sanitizing chemicals for a Furo® Tub than in a traditional hot tub? Yes. Since there is less water in both the hot and cold models of FuroHealth® Tubs with a higher concentration of ozone and filtration per cubic foot of water, you are able to achieve water clarity and sanitization with less chemicals. So the end result is no harsh chemicals against your skin at the time you are using your tub.
Do I need to utilize a 220V plug? Both the hot and cold FuroHealth® soaking tubs run on a standard 110v GFCI outlet like you find in your bathroom or near your kitchen sink. No site prep and electrical expense necessary. Just set it in place, fill it with water and plug it in. That’s it.
Can I use my epsom salt in a Furo®Tub? Furo® hot soaking tubs are specially designed to support mineral soaking. The heating element is never in direct contact with the water, which allows for the addition of minerals. The Hyoga™ Cold Plunge tub is NOT designed for mineral soaking.
Can I use my Furo®Tub indoors? Hot and cold FuroHealth® soaking tubs are designed for both indoor and outdoor use. A floating thermal barrier cover is included with both Hyoga and Furo brand soaking tubs, virtually eliminating excess moisture.
Can I use my Hyoga™ Cold Plunge outside in the winter? The Hyoga™ will freeze up in winter climates. The tub is easily moved and should be brought indoors during freezing months. If an outside winter location is strongly preferred, you can choose to add an accessory heater, which heats the water to a “cold” temperature to prevent freezing. Ask us about this option.
Is it safe to use both the Furo® Hot Soaking Tub and the Hyoga™ Cold Plunge Tub? Not only is it safe, combining hot and cold soaking has been used for thousands of years as an extremely effective health therapy treatment. The act of transitioning between hot and cold is called contrast therapy and is coming back strong with many athletic trainers and healthcare professionals as a treatment with great results.
What if I want the flexibility to use the tub in various locations? Due to the small size and lightweight design, both the Furo® hot soaking tub and the Hyoga™ cold plunge soaking tubs are truly portable. In addition, because FuroHealth® soaking tubs run on standard 110v outlets, they can be easily moved from place to place.
