Dr. Ido Tavor

Dr. Tavor, PhD, from the Department of Anatomy and Anthropology at the School of Medicine and the Sagol School of Neuroscience, completed his PhD at Tel Aviv University. He then proceeded to a postdoctoral training at the University of Oxford where he specialized on advanced imaging techniques. He holds an inter-disciplinary lab, combining computational, statistical and cognitive neuroscience methods to study the human brain and behavior.

Brain structure, function and human behavior

What makes us different?

While doing the exact same thing, different individuals present different patterns of brain activity. Dr. Tavor studies what underlies behavioral and functional differences between individuals using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Specifically, he uses advanced imaging techniques to examine how modifications in brain connectivity and microstructure affects brain function and human behavior, both in healthy and clinical populations . By better understanding the relations between brain function and structure, new insights on human behavior may be gained
