Message From Our President

November 3, 2012

Dear Priceless Partners, “I can no other answer make but thanks, and thanks,” is a deft quote by Shakespeare, yet, it is delightfully fitting for this very special 5th year of the signature Twenty Pearls Foundation Charitable Golf Scramble honoring Dr. Cullen W. Banks. On behalf of the nearly 70 members of the Magnificent Mu Upsilon Omega Chapter and the bold Board of Directors of the Twenty Pearls Foundation Inc., we extend sincere gratitude to each of our Priceless Partners of the 5th annual Twenty Pearls Foundation Charitable Golf Scramble at the new Ironwood Golf Course. Our Priceless Partners are identified and recognized as those who have supported our mission and vision since our founding in Gainesville/Alachua County. Through your priceless partnership with the Twenty Pearls Charitable Golf Scramble, we have increased the scholarship awards to deserving Alachua County female students – which means more tenacious students are realizing their dream of attending college. We have increased the implementation of the “Global Leadership Through Timeless Service” programs, which targets middle and high school youth (Emerging Young Leaders and Precious Pearls), improving women’s health (Twenty Pearls Pink Dress Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon), defines economic security for underserved families, and helps fund the UF College of Medicine Dr. C.W. Banks scholarship so that more minority medical school students remain on their journey. While we honor one of the great physicians and trailblazers in this state, Dr. Cullen W. Banks, we also certainly thank our Title, Silver, Bronze, Putting Green, Driving Range, Hole-in-One, and hole sponsors, as well as our souvenir book partners, for their generosity and tremendous support. We, the members of the Magnificent Mu Upsilon Chapter, find it a privilege serving our great community, making a difference in the lives of all, and we are not successful without you. You’re priceless! In service,

Florida

November 3, 2012 Dear Friends of Twenty Pearls Foundation Golf Scramble! Dedicated to the residents of our great county, we live by the Marian Wright Eldelman verse: “Service is the

rent we pay to be living. It is the very purpose of life and not something you do in your spare time.”

On behalf of the dedicated and passionate Twenty Pearls Foundation Inc. Fundraising committee, we thank you for your support of the signature 5th annual Twenty Pearls Foundation Inc. Charitable Golf Scramble. We are excited about our five years of surpassing expectations and your fantastic support of our mission and vision. Through your generous and your tremendous investment in the Twenty Pearls Foundation Inc. Charity Golf Scramble, as a corporate sponsor, hole sponsor, and a new souvenir book sponsor you have furthered the dreams of stellar students here in our county; continued the vital education of better health to our youth, and empowering women on to better breast health through the Pink Dress Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon; and increased economic security for families in Alachua County. Through your much appreciated investment, educational preparation and scholarships for high school girls and minority medical students at the University Of Florida College of Medicine are realities. Their scholarships defray academic costs and help them reach their educational goals. Our work depends on the generosity of supporters like you who share our commitment to building a brighter future for our most vulnerable – our youth. That support is even more important, as we continue the legacy of Dr. Cullen W. Banks. We truly need and appreciate your gifts. Again, I would like to thank you for the support you have showed our organization through your involvement in Twenty Pearls Foundation Charitable Golf Scramble 2012. Everyone’s excitement and participation helped make this event a success!
