A touch of serenity

THE JOURNAL VOL.3

A touch of serenity

Serenity is a state of being calm and peaceful. While a busy daily life often brings chaos, serenity allows you to stay true to yourself. We have taken this into our homes for a simple way of living. Our philosophy centers around the idea that every corner of your home has a story to tell – from the furniture and objects to the colors and textures. We believe that your home is not just a place to live; it is a place where memories are being made, relationships are nurtured, and a place where you can be in harmony. With colours such ginger, spice, taupe, seagrass and hazelnut we believe this will give a touch of serenity.

Linen is a timeless and elegant material that has been used in home textiles for centuries. Its natural texture and subtle luster add an element of sophistication and understated beauty to any home decor. Whether you’re looking to enhance the beauty of your bedroom with linen sheets, add a touch of elegance to your dining room with linen napkins, or elevate your kitchen with linen towels, this versatile material is sure to bring a sense of timeless luxury to your home.

Add different objects in natural materials in beautiful shapes which all are made by hand of artisans with many years of craftsmanship. As we navigate the challenges of modern life, let us remember the importance of finding

”A Touch of Serenity.” It is not a luxury but a necessity for our physical, mental, and emotional well-being. So, whether it’s a daily meditation practice, a weekend getaway to the countryside, or a few stolen moments of solitude, may we all find our own unique ways to embrace serenity and bring a sense of peace into our lives and homes.

kronhuset

For this season, we did a photoshoot of our new products in one of Gothenburg’s oldest buildings - Kronhuset. The construction of the building started 1642, just a few years after Gothenburg was founded by Gustav II Adolf. Kronhuset played an important role for the city and was used as a warehouse for artillery where cannons, military equipment and food were stored. Over the years, the building has been used for a variety of activities – as a military warehouse, as the national hall for the government in 1660, as a church, a museum and more recently, a concert hall.

Today it is an attractive destination for tourists and it is protected as a building monument and has a very high cultural and historical value. We were allowed to photograph our news for AW23 and enjoy the Kronhuset from the inside. If you are in Gothenburg, this is a fantastic building to visit.

travertine

We love bringing nature into our home and interior design as the shapes and textures contribute to unique expressions and objects. We love all our different objects in the Travertine series. In this series we have a beautiful candle lantern, storage jar, a globe, tray and a bookend, all of which are made from the beautiful and natural stone travertine.

Travertine is an old porous limestone formed by calcium carbonate deposits. This sedimentary rock is found near hot springs and in limestone caves. The material comes with slightly different properties and colours. The colour of travertine can vary from white and beige to tan and brown. We hope you will love these objects as much as we do.

terracina

Beautiful handmade terracotta urns in timeless design that are made according to old traditions. With their subtle shapes, they give a soft impression to the interior. With their matte surface structure, terracotta creates a distinct, earthy and rustic expression. The urns are beautiful by themselves but combining the same type of objects in a group creates a unified expression. The warm tone of clay takes us to the southern latitudes and the timeless colour is one that always returns.

Terracina is a collection that includes five different urns that are all unique in shape and size. Terracina can be used as decoration in any room as well as outdoors. Did you know that the word ”terracotta” comes from the Italian words ”terra” (meaning earth) and ”cotta” (meaning cooked or baked).
