OFOPREN DAILY 2 THE 201 SUMMER ON! SEAS Last year, more than 38,000 people made use of the water park and Temple Parks and Leisure Services officials are expecting this year to be even more popular. “This is the Lions Junction’s fourth season and every year the community becomes more aware that we have such a wonderful water park so close to home and our attendance grows every year. We are excited that more people are taking advantage of what Temple has to offer,” said Chuck Ramm, Temple Parks and Leisure Services Recreation Superintendent. Lions Junction is located at 5000 South 5th Street in Temple and features two water slides, a lazy river, a beach entry pool, and a splash playground. “Lions Junction is a great place for all ages, from the water slides to the lazy river and the splash pad there is something for everyone to enjoy,” said Aquatics Coordinator Keith Dawson. “Best of all it is right here in Temple!” “Visitors can purchase a day pass or a season membership which can really save money if you plan on visiting the park several times over the summer,” said Dawson. In addition to day passes and season memberships, interested individuals and groups can rent either the park’s large pavilion during normal park hours or rent the entire park from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursdays and 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. “Renting the water park has become very popular for parties, group get-togethers, and corporate events,” continued Dawson. “We have limited rental opportunities and the spaces fill up fast, so those wishing to rent should contact 254-298-5690 to reserve their space as soon as possible.” For more information about Lions Junction Family Water Park, including how to rent the facility, please call Temple Parks and Leisure Services Department at 254-298-5690 or visit www.LionsJunction.com.
