Chicago November 2010 Stewart’s is coming to the great street State Street. November 5, 2010 is the opening of Stewart’s soul food restaurant at Block 37’s new mixed-‐use complex. Sharon Stewart is the head Mom in charge; she believes, “fresh ingredients makes good food for the mind, body, and soul.” “I want people to feel like that just sat down at a table in my home, they are apart of the family, and family always gets my very best.” Stewart believes not only in providing good food, but when she speaks of fresh she means she uses only local vendors. Nothing she serves come from outside the Tri- state area, she wants to pump money back into local growers and Famers are happy to call her friend. The Cheese for her famous macaroni and cheese is from a Wisconsin dairy farmer. Turkeys from Ho-‐Ka Turkey Farm in Waterman, Illinois and with Chickens from the northern suburb of Beach Park, you can’t go wrong. Downtown Chicago has never had a meal like this before; the menu has something for everyone, fried chicken to smother pork chops. The sides are all ala Carte to customize your home cooked favorites. Opening Night, Friday November 5, 2010 all restaurant goers will receive a free slice of mouth-‐watering sweet potato pie, with their meal, topped with fresh whipped cream Stewart makes each morning.
