Tunde, like David Banner, is also from Jackson, MS. He attended the legendary Lanier High School in the Georgetown Community in Jackson. He is also a graduate of Texas Southern University and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Motivated by the lack of access to purchase beats from anybody in the Jackson area, Tunde began to create his own urban beats as early as 2002. Tunde has produced well over 200 rap beats since that time. Jones Corner is located in the historic Farish Street District. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. In fact that same location started out as a Filling Station (gas station) back in the 1930’s. Back then all you had to do was to drive up and they would fill up your tank, check your oil, and wash your wind shields.
During that time he worked at the Metro Center Mall in the food court. From their he worked at different restaurants such as Hal and Mals. Mr. Dillion received a culminary scholarship from the Harold T. White Scholarch Fund from Hal & Mals. It was in Culinary School where he met his business partner, Adam Hayes.
Around the 1940’s the corner was turned into a juke joint. In the 1990’s - 2000’s it was a Blues venue called Fields Cafe. Every Monday night was blues night and they would block off the to party.
Sherman Lee Dillion, Daniel’s father was ahuge influence on his decision to open a Blues establishment. His father exposed hm to a number of blues artist over the years.
The current owner is Daniel Dillion. Mr. Dillion grew up in West Jackson near the Jackson Zoo.

His motivation for going into business started in the Hospitality Industry when he was 15 years old

BLACK BUSINESS EXPO HELD AT JSU
COOKING WITH HONEY AND FRIENDS HONEYS WARM KALE SALAD •2 cup fresh organic kale ( rinse well and remove the center stems) •1-2 carrots julienne • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice • sea-salt and coarse black pepper to taste • a dash of cayenne • 4-6 large Shrimp • and your favorite barbecue sauce In a large skillet on medium high heat add a small amount of olive oil or coconut oil add to carrots and allow them to toast once they start to brown add your kale and allow it to simmer, add your lemon juice and salt and coarse black pepper once you kale and carrots are nice and tender turn off the heat and set to the side for just a few minutes • YOUR SHRIMP Using a wooden skewer add you shrimp set to the side and a small amount of oil to your skillet when she oil is hot place the shrimp skewer in the skillet for one and a half to two minutes on each side depending on the size of your shrimp sprinkle on a little bit of salt and cayenne pepper quickly brushed on your barbecue sauce remove from heat and allow your shrimp to rest for about a 1 minute Placed shrimp skewer on the bed of warm kale and ENJOY Follow Us Cooking With Honey and Friends FACEBOOK / INSTAGRAM / YOUTUBE and MPB Radio 91.3 tune in every Monday morning @ 9 AM for DEEP SOUTH DINING
