THE COMPANY TESI was founded in 1981 and since then has been working in the pipeline coating sector. As a renowned world leader in the self-powered induction heating equipment field and heat treatment unit, the company maintains a modern work environment that encourages creativity and invention, adopting a policy of continuous investments in research and development. The company designs and manufactures induction heating equipments in the pipeline field joint coating sector for the north and south America.

INDUCTION HEATING GENERATORS TESI induction heating generators are available either diesel or electrical driven and in 4 power sizes: 70 KW, 120 KW, 350 KW, 500 KW. The generators, controlled by a microcontrol-based electronic digital system that guarantees a continual and completely automatic monitoring, are the most advanced machines in the category. TESI generators are also self-protected as its main parameters are constantly detected via high quality sensors and dedicated software, preventing failures and assuring high reliability and low maintenance even in the most demanding conditions. They can operate Onshore and Offshore. Thanks to its advanced technologies, TESI generators can work either on pipelines constructions in the pre-weld pipe heating and field joint coating or as precision heat treatment units. In these last ones the software imposes highly precise profile temperature on the work piece. The control system in very flexible, allowing different heating steps, with ease of use on programmability. The optimal dimensions - output power ratio and the rugged canopy makes TESI generators particularly suitable for the rough environment typical of the pipeline field. TESI generators can be operated from the main control panel, or remotely with the remote control included in the standard models. DIESEL DRIVEN HEATING GENERATORS The generators are available with different engine type and cooling system (water or air), and they are very rough and robust to be used both offshore and onshore. ELECTRICAL INDUCTION HEATING GENERATORS Besides the diesel powered induction heating generators, TESI manufactures Static Induction Generators (IGBT) in power size 70 KW output power, and Motor Generators available in 3 power sizes: 120 KW, 350 KW and 500 KW. All models are air-forced cooled and don’t need any external cooling equipment. This feature allows having a handy structure and a very reliable system. The units retain the same electronic logic control equipment of the diesel powered generators. Furthermore, all electrical generators have fully automatic PF control and as an option, the heat treatment software and 6 channels type K thermocouple recorder. STATIC GENERATORS

COILS TESI designs and manufactures devices to heat the pipe surface before welding (RING COILS) and pipe joints for coating or welding application (CLAMP COILS). Each item is designed on customer specifications such as pipe diameter, coating thickness and joint length. TESI is also available for special equipments for particular applications (i.e. concrete coating or pipe bends).

CLAMP COIL TESI clamp coil is designed to heat the pipe after the welding process in order to make the pipe cutback surface ready for the coating. The positioning of the windings is accurately studied to provide a uniform heating or a customized temperature distribution on the pipe joint surface while the silicon sheath ensure a good resistance to high temperatures. TESI provides both manual and automatic coil closure, the second option being recommended for big pipe diameters. Like the ring coils also the clamp coils can be customized according to the given technical requirements.

RING COIL TESI ring coils heat the pipe sections before the welding process. The light but rugged structure, realized in fiber glass and aluminium, allows a fast and easy use even under the most demanding conditions. The electrical design gives special emphasis in assuring high heating efficiency while minimizing the residual magnetization (detrimental side effect).


TESI also may provide tractors and cranes for induction equipment and welding equipment handling.

SERVICES Thanks to a qualified staff of mechanical and electronic technicians, TESI gives technical assistance and training on field. TESI offers generators rental service. The minimum rental period is one month. Technical-advanced customer service enable TESI to provide a prompt and efficient spare parts supply.
