Prepreg-Compression Moulding (PCM) AUGMENT skis fused construction is achieved through a precise and constant hot prepreg compression moulding (PCM) process.
Racing Ski Preparation and Ready-to-Race Finish Our World Cup ski racing experienced ski makers give all AUGMENT skis a Ready-toRace Finish before handing them to the customer. Tailoring edge geometry, surface structure as well as the special base structure ensures a Ready-to-Race finish.
High-tech Materials Every AUGMENT ski is built using only the winning materials tested on the race circuits.
Ultra-High Sintered Base – An original racing base with a high percentage of graphite, high wax absorption and optimum wear properties minimising friction and making You faster.
Individual Ski Fitting Flex Code
Distributing stiffness over the entire length of the ski ensures its predictable character in all conditions. Stiffness Flex Code is an essential construction parameter for winning race skis which make you faster. In order to give all skiers the same opportunity to reach their goals and to enjoy skiing, all AUGMENT skis are available in variety of stiffness. Each pair tailored to individual skiing styles and the skier’s body weight. AUGMENT ski fitting provides professional and recreational skiers the best possible service and gives them the opportunity to increase their enjoyment of the sport.
Racing Edge – The steel racing edge provides smooth flex and minimal friction resistance. Incorporated in the whole structure, it guarantees wear-resistance. Carbon Fibre – The use of carbon fibre in ultimate lightweight construction, guarantees maximum stiffness and dynamic rebound where it’s needed.
Titanal – This high-tech material from the world of metals guarantees optimum smoothness and stability, and provides the ski with the ideal cushioning properties. Multi-directional glass fibre prepregs – These ensure that the composite characteristics are perfectly tuned, and the individual components are fused to create a whole. Wooden core – The hardwoods used render the core of the ski robust and provide the necessary dynamics and stability. The light weight means that the ski is even easier to handle.
