Sagip Gutom For Abandoned Children Foundation is a non-stock, non-profit private organization founded in 1900 under the Salesian order of St. John "Don Bosco. This organization aims to support and subsidize girls' needs through special protection through integrated development, education, and feeding for undernourished girls. Most of these girls were abused, abandoned, and from low-income families that couldn't afford education and proper nutrition
By understanding the dynamics of this organization, we come up with a co-solution by helping this organization through a feeding program to aid in combating malnutrition as a leading cause of poor cognitive, mental, and behavioral development With this advocacy, we believe that within a year of supporting through a feeding program weekly, you will improve the ideal weight of every beneficiary while you are giving them hope through this charitable work and social action
This activity will run from the beginning this coming first Saturday of March, which will be on the 4th, 2023, and will culminate on the first Saturday of March 2024 This will be a weekly feeding program, participated by 10 teachers and volunteers from the parents of the school community. The weekly food menu will be planned and organized by the committee with the health of our local health nutritionist so that the food that will be served will be fortified with vitamins and minerals that are conducive to the health and nutritional needs of the girls.

V. Mechanics and Implementation (Pre, During, and Post)
Income generation is vital to finance and sustain this whole program Our school has created a special Paluwagan Kay Teacher among school faculties who are mostly members of this project We have a cash bond that we will use as our capital to buy dried fish from a direct source in La Union from one of our student’s parents who will give us the reasonable and economical value of dried fish so that we can generate ample amount of profit to sustain the program weekly This is as well in partnership with private individuals, especially vloggers and social media influencers who voluntarily offer a segment on their vlogs and media post to promote our dried fish product
We already created Online Pages on Facebook and Instagram which have already 10k reached This will be our platform for online selling plus our own personal social media accounts
We will have an hour of Facebook live selling dried fish and we want to target 1,500 pesos of gain each day to augment the food and other operational expenses needed per weekly feeding. There would be no actual meet-up because we are trying to curtail the effect of the pandemic, we will be utilizing the use of the delivery apps such as Transportify, Maxims, and other food and service transportation outlets applicable to us and for our clientele. The delivery fee will be shouldered by our client.
All the proceeds will be deposited directly into the account of the group and weekly liquidation and transparency will be made by the treasurer and business manager of the committee
Weekly deliberation of the budget for food and other operational expenses such as transportation and food packaging will be discussed rigidly including the assistance of the volunteered nutritionist and nurses so that the food quality will not be compromised
It will be every 8 am of the morning weekly feeding program and most likely food that we will be serving our soups ( Arroz caldo, Champorado, Macaroni soup, Sinabawang gulay, etc) fortified Moringa iron-riched bread and nutritional beverages
6 am all the foods are cooked and prepared in proper packaging, and by 7 am we are already in the venue of the organization Opening prayers and a short welcome address will be given each week.
Children are assigned by twenties at every table. One teacher and volunteer are assigned per table to create a congenial atmosphere and communication among the girls. There would be training for proper communication and using emphatic words prior to the opening salvo of the program.
When everybody has settled down, there would be a weighting of every kid to get their baseline body weight and it will be monitored every week for the whole year for progress and assessment. It will be documented properly including their information. All data will be taken with the utmost confidentiality.
There would be a book reading for 10 mins, a health talk by nurses and nutritionists for 10 mins, and a little trivia game for 5 mins.
It will be a maximum of 2 hours of events each week and it will end with a prayer and departing song from the beneficiaries.
This will be the weekly event for the one-year running program. There would be a weekly meeting after the feeding program for one hour to calibrate and check the success and failure of every weekly program. A monthly progress evaluation will be tackled. Then after the whole program is implemented deliberation and discussion for final analysis and evaluation The continuation of the next proposal and project will be determined depending on the success or a follow-up assessment be needed
To be continued......
