ProiettARTE film institute serves as an entrance into the city through the guiding form. The sloping landscape and multiple courtyards allow ample opportunities for film screenings for both the students and the public of Palazzolo Accreide. The film school offers a public gallery for students and artists to showcase their work in a flexible space that suits the current exhibition’s needs. Besides the public screening gallery, the school also offers an indoor theater for more extensive screenings and a Sicilian cafe.

Sloping Form
Carve Out
Wood Trellis
Growing out and into the sloping site allows for the building to appear smaller and more approachable coming from and into the city.
Taking away various parts of the sloping form creates different outdoor nooks and courtyards for both the public and the students for multiple screenings.
Adding wood trellises to cover some outdoor areas breaks up the form’s materiality while still reading as a whole sloping motion.
Internship - Flatrock 05 Location: Langley, WA I have worked over several summers for Flatrock Productions. While working for them, I have worked on various residential projects. I have worked on drawing sets to 3d and physical models for these residences. The first project that I am offering is a 3D SketchUp model of Condos in Langley, WA, that is now built. I worked on 3d modeling to show the client and others involved. The next project that I offer is a residence also on Whidbey Island. I worked on the client’s physical model and helped bring the project to life. The last project is part of a SketchUp model for a market pavilion in Langley.
NEW FLATWORK
I worked with CMI Architects during the summer of 2018 in San Luis Obispo. It was a co-op internship, meaning that I worked for a studio class credit. I worked on various projects, from an Inn remodel, a new triplex, and a classroom. Which also included applications and drawing sets for permit submittal. The project shown first is a remodel and expansion of a preschool where they wanted to test out different roof iterations to allow more daylight to spill into the classrooms’ center. The next project shown are plans for a two-story triplex design in Paso Robles.

Furniture - Vellum 06
Name: Make Within Reach - desk Studio:Tom Di Santo, Fall 2018 Purpose: Vellum Furniture Project “Make within reach is a desk designed to adapt and change with the user depending on the task at hand. Not only does it have removable boxes and parts to customize and de-clutter your desk, but also designed to be disassembled into small components and be ready to move within minutes. It is a minimal and delicate desk that is meant to be added to and worked on. It serves as a blank canvas for the user; as they use it over time by filling it with their tools and projects, adding nicks and paint/ pencil marks will genuinely develop its character. Whether you are drawing, using your computer, or sewing, this desk will adapt to your needs by providing all tools within arms reach.
removable storage boxes made out of wood and 3d printed plastic, with frosted acrylic lids.
removable felt soft storage with attachable pillows; ready for mid-work naps.
3d printed screw joints and wooden dowel legs are designed to be removable.
self-installed tensile cross bracing made out of paracord and wooden dowels. twist dowel to tighten. removable plywood shelf set at three 3 different levels
Furniture - Couch 06
When: 2020-2021 Purpose: Personal Project, for home When shopping for a couch and deciding what I would want in one, I began to be curious about how they are put together and took on the challenge of making my own. I wanted a couch that would fit a couple of people, convert into a full bed, and the option to pull out as a footrest when relaxing. Constructed of a simple wooden frame and replaceable cushion covers for when I want to change the color. From cutting each wood piece to sewing the cushions, it has let me gain a greater understanding of what goes into our everyday furniture.
The intertwining slats allow the simple wooden couch to slide out and lock to convert into a full-size bed, adding some cushions. This feature also enables the slide-out section to be either a footrest when adding cushions or a footrest and table by adding a wooden insert table.
Graphics 07 Projects: Thesis Book 2019 | Japan Photo-Journal 2019 | Suisse Study Abroad Book 2017 Graphic Design and book layouts is another passion of mine. I luckily have had several opportunities to pursue this aspect of design. The first project shown is part of the hand-bound thesis book I created for my research, design, and furniture project. The next project shown is a photo journal that I made for a Japan trip that we took as a thesis class. The last project shown is a Suisse study abroad book design that I was in charge of for our whole class. This book includes all of the class’s projects, photos, and sketches of where we had traveled during that time.
