Round River Conservation Studies Round River Conservation Studies is dedicated to providing study abroad opportunities for students which include adventure, real world experience, and actual course credit. Since students are always on the go, it was important to implement a mobile site that made the application process quick and easy within a busy schedule. Posters were hung up throughout campus illustrating the landscapes students would be exploring.

Women in Motion Women in Motion is a group of dedicated ladies striving to be more active. A social media campaign was created to promote the group and create an online presence of support and discussion for women of all ages, shapes and sizes. Printed posters and customized clothing were also created as a way to gain interest from the community and show support for the growing program.



Social Media Facebook, Instagram and Twitter were utilized to create a social media experience for a large audience of online users.

Interaction Featured right is a poster with the purpose of bringing awareness to domestic violence in a way that shows “what love is.� I chose to take an interactive route where viewers could meander through the piece, making a comparative decision between loving imagery and text versus others that promote violence.

Infographics The following infographic posters were created to illustrate a researched topic with the intention of captivating the viewer’s attention, teaching them something new, and leaving them satisfied in their learning experience. These posters are done in an illustrative style, abstracting real life scenarios in order to make them easier to comprehend quickly and efficiently.



Comparative Graphic By taking several sets of data and compiling them into one understandable group, viewers are able to compare stats, see patterns and make their own interpretations of Real Salt Lake Soccer goals scored versus player aggression levels.


Call to Action This poster was commissioned by WSU’s Engaged Learning Series to supplement their annual theme of waste. I chose idling as my topic, depicted ways idling wastes resources and offered a few idle reducing solutions for the viewer to consider


Crowded In this day of online marketing, crowdsourcing has become a commonly used business strategy to get work done by people with special skill sets they may not have on the payroll. While seemingly harmless, crowdsourcing actually has a big impact on the design industry and its workers. A book and website was created as tools to educate affected parties about the good and bad characteristics of crowdsourcing in our communities.



Book Cover Photography The image on the book cover was created by physically throwing beads at a wall with the word crowded posted to it. The process was photographed and used as the cover to portray the feeling of being bombarded by ideas.



Web Design A scrolling site intended to get information to viewers in a quick and interesting way via any device.

FEELING CROWDED? The crowdsourcing phenomenon, as we all know, stems from a movement toward collective innovation and creation of content—the easy and successful use of the internet to tap into the public for all kinds of goods and services, such government agencies to interact with their audiences as well as to cut costs. All crowdsourcing is not inherently bad. But it compromises the value designers can provide their clients through a problem solving relationship. Our position on it is similar to our position on spec work, but neither is doctrinaire, as both practices will evolve and so will our stances, accordingly. The most critical issue for AIGA is to educate potential clients on the value of designing, designers and design. Articulating that developing an identity and a brand is an activity that benefits from expert advice and consultation between a designer and a client, drawing on skills, expertise, experience, knowledge and creative talent.

North American Zoological Conference Animism is the belief that living creatures have an attributed soul to their earthly bodies. The North American Zoological Association chose to use animism for their 2015 conference theme. Swirling shapes and bright colors capture the souls of the animals featured throughout the conference material and promotional items. Attendees experienced a well organized event with the help of a custom app fitted with itineraries, maps and scheduling tools.

Nok Archery Supply Featured right, Nok Archery Supply is a company that specializes in archery equipment and the local archery community in the Salt Lake City area. The logo design takes on an abstracted bow shape pulling back on an arrow. The typography was modified to take on the rounded characteristics of the logo.

Logo Design and Process Study The three presented logo designs, Nok, A Plus, and Woven, were derived from a formal study taking basic shapes and ideas that could be submitted as starting points for branding projects. The objectives of each business were conceptually applied to the design of the logos.



A Plus Political Party The goal of the A Plus party is to facilitate an educational reformation within the current K-12 system to a more technology based program. The logo is an abstracted apple representing a shift in current thinking. The sharp lines make reference to the look of electronics paired with a modified typeface.


Woven Woven is a high-end wicker furniture company dedicated to creating durable pieces for inside or outside use. The logo design was inspired by the characteristic woven nature of classic wicker pieces. A modified typeface was created to correspond with the logo design.


River Cottage Canteen & Deli The River Cottage Canteen & Deli offers delicious bites and a relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant was in need of a unified menu and table setting design. Clientele consists of a mostly 21 and older crowd looking for a low-key place for a meal and drink. It was important to emphasize the duality of the restaurant with its attached deli, by including those items in the menu and table promotions.
