Jason Burden
Jason Burden is the current president of the Baptist General Convention of Texas and pastor of First Baptist Church in Nederland, where he has served since 2011. Previously, he served as pastor of churches in Trinity and Chilton; two terms as first vice president of the BGCT; and moderator of both the Golden Triangle Baptist Association and the Falls Baptist Association.
Burden is a graduate of Tarleton State University and earned both his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Baylor University’s Truett Theological Seminary. He and his wife Kristi have three children: Hayden, Hallie and Rylie.
Tony Canady
Affectionately known as, “Pastor T”, Tony Canady is the lead pastor/church planter of a Triumphal Christian Fellowship, a new church that launched in Waxahachie in September 2021. Canady has been preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ since 1997.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Houston and is currently completing his Master of Divinity from Rockbridge Seminary. He has also completed theological studies at Tyndale Theological Seminary, Andersonville Seminary and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Melanesia and they are the proud parents of their daughter, Madisyn.
Michael Gossett
Michael Gossett is the lead pastor of Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler. Before being called to this role, Gossett served as teaching pastor of Green Acres. He has also served in various churches in a variety of ministries and roles, including Student Ministry, Young Adult Ministry, Associate Pastor, and Campus Pastor.
Gossett holds a bachelor’s degree and a Master of Divinity from Liberty University in Virginia. He also received a Doctor of Ministry degree from Liberty Theological Seminary, with an emphasis on Discipleship.
Gossett grew up in Rex, Georgia, and married his high school sweetheart, Katie. They have four kids: Ryleigh, Reagan, Rowan and Lincoln. Gossett enjoys playing golf and anything outdoors. One of his favorite things to do with the family is to go camping.
Ariel Martinez
Ariel Martinez is the lead pastor of Del Sol Church in El Paso, a bilingual, multisite, online and in-person church. Before becoming lead pastor, Martinez served on staff at Del Sol Church in various ministry roles for 18 years.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Religion from Liberty University and a Master of Arts in Theology from the B.H. Carroll Theological Institute. He and his wife Lauren share a passion for food, cycling and investing in younger men and women to help them rise into Christian leadership.
