Community Highlights

District 13 had excellent participation in the First Annual Bataan Memorial Death March in Boerne which started and ended at Boerne Brewery. Thank you to VFW Post 688 Senior Vice Commander Scott Galliardt for organizing, planning and participating in the event.

Texas VFW Post 1406, Dallas

Commander Reggie Williams assists Iraqi Combat Veteran Sebastian Larsen in completing his Department of Veterans Affairs Disability and Compensation claim form at the Post. Commander Williams met Larson after receiving an anonymous telephone call saying that there was a combat veteran who was having several problems and issues and had no where to turn. Outstanding! Texas VFW Post 12161, Buda Jr. Vice Commander Don Hayden prepares food to transfer to the serving line where local Boy Scouts were standing by to deliver food to Onion Creek Senior Center, where three buildings were without power or elevators.

The Post celebrated its 75th Birthday on March 13th, 2021. The Post Charter was Constituted on March 5th, 1946. Congratulations!
