Wyoming and Central Michigan Preview •Wyoming and Central Michigan were the two leading teams in the nation in 2017 in forcing turnovers. Central Michigan ranked No. 1 in the NCAA with 31 takeaways. Wyoming forced 30 opponent turnovers in 2017 to tie for No. 2 in the nation with Miami (Fla.) and Memphis. See more details on Page 4. •The Cowboys and Chippewas have played two previous times. Wyoming defeated CMU 31-10 in Laramie on Sept. 16, 2000. Central Michigan defeated the Cowboys 32-20 on Sept. 7, 2002, in Mount Pleasant, Mich. More information on the series and on Central Michigan is on Pages 14-15. •Wyoming is appearing in a bowl game for the second consecutive season.
