7-0 LAMAR-TARLETON The Plowboys put up a terrific fight and, except for a Cardinal scoring drive in the first quarter with McNeil going over,, the two teams spent the contest battling back and forth across the midfield stripe. 40-0 LAMAR-MEXICO Rushing 20 points over in the last quarter, Lamar swamped the tricky Mexicans in Mexico City. The Cardinal line clearly outplayed their opponents in a fine exhibition of solid, fundamental football. 14-7 LAMAR-KILGORE Two badly bruised teams left the field after this game, one of the roughest and most exciting ever played in Beaumont. Scoring early, the Redbirds kept Tittle and Ramsey well bottled up.
