BLUR BLUR BLUR A/W 17/18
As gender equality becomes a staple subject within todays modern society, the lines of social and physical identity begin to blur into one. BLUR is a fresh and crisp take on the traditional androgynous rock star trend, re-imagined for A/W 17/18 and placed in to todays modern and forward thinking world. Communicated through cool colour palettes, tactile modern fabrics and strikingly stark silhouettes, blurring the lines of gender has never been so fresh and on trend.
With high end fashion houses sending male models down the catwalks during their womenswear presentations, we begin to take a second look at an individuals’ appearance. Gender based fashion becomes less important.
The fading line between womenswear and menswear begins to create equality through genderless fashion. Blurring of colour, silhouettes and accessories creates an ambiguous aesthetic for Autumn Winter 17/18.
Silhouettes reject conventional ideas of femininity and masculinity. Oversized fits, uncomplicated shapes and sheer layering are the new direction for the forward thinking consumer.
