Future foods explores how diets will change globally in response to the population boom predicted for 2015 and the impact this will have on our lifestyle. Health concious meals will become the focus, with pre-packaged foods in un-natural shapes bringing an artificial appearance to otherwise unprocessed meals.

MINI-LIVESTOCK (Insect Protein) is introduced as a sustainable way to replace animal protein within our diets.

MEAT is deemed a luxury item and prices increase dramatically.

GLOBAL POPULATION = 9.7bn GLOBAL FAIR FOOD USAGE POLICY is introduced. All meals are measured out and prepackaged according to RDI’s, each contains the exact required dose of each nutrient.

GLOBAL POPULATION = 8.5bn FAIR FOOD USAGE becomes a global standard in a effort to feed the growing population equally.

COMPACT LIVING - Urban areas become more compact and ‘high-rise’ as more homes are built for the rising population. VERTICAL FARMING is introduced as a space saving method of producing food.
