STRUCTURAL KNIT
Structural Knit is a Collection of sample knitted pieces, the knitted fabrics use cable ties to suggest where 3D printing could be placed. The designer has been inspired by technical drawings of knit, how drawing a knit or stretching out a knit makes knitted structures seem less complicated. She’s got a passion for working with your non traditional materials but cooperating them in to a more traditional technique, the contrast of knit and the new technology of 3D printing is a perfect example of how she works. In this collection the main aim is for 3D printing and plastics to be seen on the high street, rather than only been seen on cat walks and high end pieces. The following images show a small collection of the designers work for collection of Structural knit.
