SIMULATED CONTROL
SIMULATATED CONTROL
TECHNOLOGY IS BECOMING SEVERELY FIXED INTO TODAY’S SOCIETY, WITH THE MAJORITY OF THE POPULATION NOW HAVING ACCESS TO THE INTERNET AND WITH THE RECENT 10-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF WELL RENOWNED SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE FACEBOOK. IT’S NO SURPRISE THAT MOST OF OUR SPARE TIME IS BEING DRIVEN BY OUR EVER-GROWING NEED TO STAY CONNECTED. THIS INCREASING NEED IS TRANSFORMNG OUR LIVES BY ALLOWING OUR PERSONAL AND DAILY ACTIVITIES TO BE SHARED WITH HUNDREDS AT THE PRESS OF A BUTTON. HOWEVER, OUR PRIVACY AND DIGNITY IS NAÏVE TO WHO AND WHERE OUR INFORMATION IN BEING SEEN. LIKEWISE, THE ABILTY TO PORTRAY YOURSELF AS A DIFFERENT PERSON ONLINE HAS BECOME INCREASINGLY POPULAR AS SEEN IN U.S. REALITY TV SHOW, ‘CATFISH’. THIS ALONG WITH THE PRIVACY AND SURVEILLANCE ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RELEASE OF GOOGLE GLASS IS SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO BE EVALUATED. THIS HAS BEEN THE MAIN INFLUENCE FOR THIS PREDICTED FASHION TREND – SIMULATED CONTROL. THROUGH DISTORTING IMAGES AND TRANSFORMING DESIGNS THAT HAVE BEEN MANIPULATED USING TECHNOLOGY AND COMPUTER AIDED PROGRAMS. THIS DIGITAL APPROACH WILL RECREATE THE AWARENESS OF PRIVACY, HIDDEN IDENTITY AND THE CONCERNS OF DECIEVING PERSONAS ONLINE. .
