Laura is an exceptionally passionate designer whos determined and conscientious nature pushes her t o w a r d s a c a r e e r i n t h e c o m m e r c i a l i n d u s t r y. She is keen to combine hand-drawn and painted skills with digital processes to achieve a harmony between traditional and modern design. Laura has a strong belief that hand-drawn and painted processes should not be neglected in an increasingly d i g i t a l d o m i n a t e d i n d u s t r y. I n s t e a d u s i n g d i g i t a l technology to enhance and allow for these processes to be used in abundance. Through the undertaking of industry placements Laura has been successful in the selection of designs in many of the major highstreet retailers, Dunelm, B&Q a n d A s d a t o n a m e a f e w. H e r e x p e r i e n c e i n d e s i g n i n g across multiple brands has strengthened her ability to confidently balance creativity with commercial awearness over a wide customer and product range; m a k i n g h e r a h i g h l y v e r s a t i l e d e s i g n e r. In an urban world where technology and the m o d e r n i s t i c a r e t a k i n g o v e r, w e i n c r e a s i n g l y s e e k measures of nature in our every-day lives to provide balance and escape in the home. This collection is designed for the modern city lady who likes to bring a touch of the English countryside into her home in a s t y l i s h y e t s u b t l e w a y. The combination of traditional hand drawn and painted techniques with digital processes is key in c r e a t i n g a b a l a n c e b e t w e e n t h e o l d a n d n e w. Suptuous fabrics of linen, silk and cotton percale sit comfortably across a wide product range, providing a sense of luxury and opulence . A feminine and sophisticated colour palette, from smokey greys to fresh, calming green/blues with hints of oxford blue, have been used to remove the imagery from it’s natural palette and into one which is more metropolitan.

Following on from the metropolitan colour story this bright quirky and modern colour palette contrasts against more traditional painting methods for a fresh update on florals, perfect for the Spring Summer months. Again, this collection aims to bring nature into the home for escape but this time through a bolder use of colour that celebrates the natural origin o f i m a g e r y. Designed for young ladies who are not afraid of statement patterns and that draw focus towards brush strokes and the hand crafted. Digital printing methods allow for a refreshing use of initial hand techniques, used fully without compromise o n d e t a i l a n d l e v e l o f c o l o u r. Bold flora and fauna sit alongside co-ordinating plains in high quality cottons and linens to retain the luxury feel.
