Scattered fragments reflect the use of hard materials using a mixture of transparent and opaque Perspex along with lighting. The strong use of light highly emphasize the layering repeats inspired by geometry and graphical matter. Heavily influenced by geometry and graphical structures I apply this in my own design work embracing these terms to influence me. As a neat, orderly and organized personality I like to reflect this in my work using the laser cutter to perform etching and cut through techniques. It’s the simplicity of the shapes built up that creates an effective outcome combined successfully with lighting.
I am versatile to all sectors in the textile market but it’s print along with experimenting on tactile surfaces that I excel my style as an undergraduate surface designer. As an upcoming designer I love all things print related and keen on exploring future trends and these being reflected in my design work. Driven by creativity, my design market is aimed at open spaces within interiors. From room dividers, open featured walls for offices or exterior spaces are potential products. It’s the interiors side of the market that I feel I thrive and consider my work to reflect energetically in this sector. Minimal colour, delicate forms interlinked with bold repeats sum up this collection. With ongoing research and designing continuing to build a body of work for future development.
