Introduction
The intention of this project is to reduce common sustainability issues within textiles by souring and producing within Britain. Concerned around the common issues such as carbon emissions (due to transportation and pollution) and problems with textile waste regarding decomposition, I have chosen to purely source British yarns and intend use the natural biodegradable fibres from alpaca fleece. This pack will guide you through the stages of the project, starting with a visit to an alpaca farm, sourcing natural British yarns and finally managing sustainability throughout my practice by the use of natural dyeing.
