Food production is becoming increasingly popular within the home, with homeowners observing the introduction of new ways to grow and monitor food. This could be through the use of new technologies and exploring new designs for home furnishings to allow for plant growth.

Innovative solutions continue to be created to address these issues which help alleviate the problem of pollution and food production. ‘Green’ spaces have been integrated into hotels and city apartments to utilize the limited space provided in an urban environment.

rban farming has allowed food to be on our doorstep, which enables the health of communities, environments and the minds of the next generation to flourish, further understanding the need to address issues such as diabetes and obesity. Growing your own food saves money; time spent in a supermarket and is seen as being safer as it avoids herbicides and pesticides that are used in large-scale farming.

ardening is more than a hobby. It improves mental and physical health, which is often determined by the environment of the individual. Having the opportunity to grow in a small urban apartment or even in a large stately home helps relieve symptoms of depression and anxiety.
