‘A futuristic impression of a minimalist aesthetic. Combining digitised prints with structured tailoring to create a fusion of design, generated by thoughts of new worlds and an optimistic future’
[Concept] The human race is on the move. Generated by subconcious thoughts of a new world and an optimistic future, design turns to a futuristic aesthetic for influence. With an influx of space tourism and exploration into creating 3D printed habitats on the moon, all attention turns to the collonisation of new worlds and dreams of an enhanced life. Fashion interpretations are shown through the use of minmalist tailoring clashing against a fusion of embelishment and digital print to create a synthetic look. An enhanced spectrum of colour generated by intergalactic rock formations and geodes combine with fragmented print work to create a futuristic fusion trend.

Interstellar blues and deep blacks form the muted base for this palette. Sharp flashes of optic white are a clean accent colour reminiscent of deep space constellations whilst dusky teal and ice mix to create cool highlights. Added pops of atlantic green, amethyst and pink quartz add a futuristic contrast, while midnight sky and earth grey are subtle reminders of a life left behind.

Structured neoprenes and moulded plastics clash against traditional materials in a futuristic blend of old and new. Leathers are updated with laser cutting and quilting details to create patterned finishes, whilst strong flashes of colour emerge from digitally printed nylon and satin fabrications. Wet look fabrics contrast against matte suedes in textural panel detailing, while devorĂŠ and burn out effects offer a minimalist finish to garments.

Prints]
A synthetic vision is highlighted through the use of digital printing techniques and image manipulation. Prints are highly synthetic in appearance, with saturated bursts of colour, contrasted against minimal garment shapes. Natural rock formations and landscapes are manipulated to create a futuristic update for fashion prints. Organic geodes are manipulated with vivid colour injections to create flowing all over prints, whilst synthetic renditions of earth landscapes are highly effective as placement designs. Bleed like effects work as a sharp contrast against the highly detailed prints and minimalist garment shapes. r fa c

[Key Details] A clean minimalist aesthetic is interpreted through metallised finishings in pewter and gun metal. Chunky exposed zips are a key detail, whilst stud fastenings replace buttons for a minimal feature. Structured pleating is a key detail across all garments, while quilted panelling and contrast piping feature heavily on outerwear.
