servicing a university campus, we aim to put together shoots that are budget concious and eco-friendly, without sacrificing style. With this in mind, we challenged our stylists to put together a “cozy loungewear” look for each model with a budget of ten dollars. Stylists gravitated toward over-sized pieces, parallel with the changing trends that favour mom jeans over skinnies and giant sneakers over converse. The oversized trend first emerged in the 1980s, however this recycled version of “bigger is better” comes with a twist. With the first rise of the althletic industry, oversized clothing in the 80s was about enhancing a larger and fitter physique. Today, however, the inspiration behind the designs come from an opposing line of thought. Designers and consumers alike are disregarding the “sexy” styles that overtook the market in the last few decades. But lets rewind. As a hybrid between a “cozy” shoot and a loungewear shoot, the stylists didn’t ditch sexy altogether. The majority of our models were styled with oversized sweaters and men’s shirts paired with lacey details or sporty unde undergarments. One stylist decided to upgrade the feminitiy of the outfit by playing up the accessories paired with the lacey detailes. To further the

delicacy, sweaters were styled as off-the- shoulder pieces to eliminate materialbulk and highlight the natural curves of the clavicle and shoulder. Other stylists opted for more of a sporty look, with simple knee-high solid socks effortlessly slouched down to the calf and ankle. And to drive that point home, in 2018, Jo Hunt a head buyer at ASOS, saw a rise of items with a branded slogan. If we want to be more specific, there has been a rise in popularity of brands that had an authentic "American" feel. And in addition, the #mycalvin campaign doesn't hurt. Honestly, who doesn't want to feel like Cristiano Ronaldo sometimes?
