Tudor Grange Academy Worcester Year Book
Message From The Principal Dear all I have so enjoyed being the Principal of this school, but this year was surely the pinnacle of my time here so far. You had all been here long enough to have confidence in us and long enough for us to enjoy your strong and various personalities. I often told you that what you did and what you stood for as our year 11 students would help us to shape our school; I always wondered if you believed me when I said that you had the power to shape people’s lives by winning hearts and minds? Well, you have a great legacy now as it is one of success – we are now a school where everyone is beginning to believe in their dreams and I do not underestimate the part you played in this. So, thank you and best of luck in all that you go on to do. Mrs. C. Maclean Principal
Your Poem by Mrs. C. Maclean This year group has provided us with leaders abound, In Jake Adey I think a future prime minister we have found. Though Molly W or Katherine, we need another woman at number 10;This should not be just a man’s den. Perhaps Holly would support with a business brief? And Aaron B would be a good commentator in chief. Many of you we will remember for being a cheeky chappy. Igor and David W for always being so happy. More than cheeky sometimes Mr Keiran Cole, But underneath it all a really good soul. Much thanks I give to Megan L, Justine and Emma H For just being so very nice and true, This picked me up sometimes if I felt blue. I’ve had less energy to cope this year you know and yet oodles of energy some of you did show Though Ellie R, at times, your yawns did grow, Chloe and Rebecca were bounding around Leah, talking for Britain, has made the most sound. So what of the quiet and diligent type, Staying away from all of the hype. Charlotte A, Danielle and Chelsea, quiet and demure Of her talents I wish Kira would be more secure. Yes, Sasha, Sian and Sophie F, we have been watching all of you Lewis W you’ve been great since you got here too; All of you hard working, intelligent and true , You are bright and special and deserve Great rewards, just hold your nerve.
A lot of you really do have the gift of the gab, With you all here, life has certainly never been drab! So many big hearted souls in this year; For you all I will shed more than a tear. What a year group for hair - what a mare! Liam I don’t know where to start, Ashleigh’s red tints nearly tore us apart. How blond can our Chloe go? But Dan, we love your latest crop. Make up too, was sometimes a bit of an issue, Alicia and Lydia have used up more than one tissue! Jasmin, how do you get that line so straight? Now you can all stop trying to avoid us at the gate. Chloe B and Tiegan and your lovely lashes, You’ve all had your moments and we won’t miss any of the uniform clashes. To this list I must add Jack K and Tom Smith, Bright young men in this year were all around: In Josiah another great brain we found. Rueben what a leader you proved to be, So many newbies to this year group did we see A very well done to you as well Finn, David, Luke T, Casey and Jake, For some such a change would be too hard to take.
You were another year group with such creative flair: Kasey and Alisha dancing without a care. Dylan, Luke and Nathan our music men, I’d bank on you having one in the top ten. Jay and Alisha M-J thank you for your dramatic prowess; I’ve always wanted to be on stage like you I must confess. Harriet, Ellie, Louie M, Sinead and Stacey too - I have a mission To ensure we are able to make of your art a first commission. You know, I look at you all now and true gentleman I can see, Levi, James HB and Robbie are just three. Reece you’ve always been honest and true, Dylan likes to think he is too Into a fine man ‘of sorts’ he grew But floppy fringes do not a man make: Another year or so I think it will take. Many secret comedians we have had who are not so full of his bluster Luke M, Josh S and Kyle don’t think I don’t know that, with your wit, many a quiet giggle you have managed to muster. And Josh F I am told has a quiet humour too, I wish that I had enjoyed this with you. Fine young ladies though have these fine men sometimes eclipsed Strong, feisty and determined Chloe, Megan H and Megan B and Ashleigh B And don’t be fooled by the dainty frame Of Charlotte and Keeley, mighty and small Sometimes you know it’s not so great to be tall. Sophie the socialite And Elisha, so elegant and bright
You are a very talented bunch, All of you I would trust if it came to the crunch. Should I need a computer fix Then David, George or Jamie I will ask to perform their tricks. If I need an accountant, Paige I will call, And Carl will help me if my car I do stall. I am hoping some of you will consider teaching With a vacancy in History For Emily C I would be reaching. I hope if I find myself up in the air Jess lewis, will take time to care. And Sharne, no more babies for me But a better midwife I do not think there could be. Sporting stars we have enjoyed amongst you, Josh and Ben wizards with your pool cue. Ashley B did you know I’m a villa fan too? Sheldon, football legend, thanks for the thrills. Prefer to remember Alex for his great footie skills Than natty haircuts and posing as a hunk. Tom and Edgar I will remember for their slam dunk, Bryley, Melissa, Rebecca and Tamsin too, For sporting prowess we will remember you Now let’s be truthful, sometimes you’ve been a tricky bunch been particularly passionate about your lunch. The price of pasties I will remember you for Louis caused a right furore! We’ve had our fair share of moans and groans Sophie complaining no more RE Georgia another Physics paper does not want to see Molli T wants Maths, more maths All of you taking such different paths. Now Pedro, my boy, you must stay on the path And out of the canal?!
But you know you’ve been a giving and warm year group, Such a generous troupe: Imogen how kind and generous you turned out to be; Zahra your lovely laughs have been heart warming to me. Sam D, Lewis P, Kai you’ve given us many smiles, Emerson, Charlie and Alice, you’ve given us many trials. No matter the rows and the tears we have seen, On your success we are still keen. And some of you have delighted us of late, Developing a late but good trait: Rebecca S what a better year for you, Emma J And Mr Finch you really did good too. Brodie’s been here more And Callum a bit less late Charlie-Ann you made it through with us to the end… So, though the trials and tribulations nearly sent us round the bend. You have all been worth it, we wouldn’t change a minute, No not one bit. Live long, be happy and truly fulfilled, If this were our gift we would bethrilled.
We will miss you very, very much year of 2014.
A Message from College Leader Mr. Boyle
Marlowe Five years have come and gone, Who would have thought it would take so long, However, I will certainly shed a tear, Whilst you lot leaving, will only cheer. To think of how you all have grown, Into fine young adults who only rarely moan, The nails, hair and skirts too short, The boys working hard, they really ought. What do I say to such a fine bunch? Maybe, “We should meet up in a few years for a spot of lunch.” Until that time I know you’ll succeed, And all attack life at full speed.
However, it is time to bid you farewell, Many other stories I could tell. Instead I’ll cherish them close to my heart, And rest in the knowledge that you have made a great start! Best wishes Mr Boyle

A Message from College Leader Mrs. Roach
Vesalius Victorious Vesalius! It has been such a pleasure being your college leader for the past year. You have made me laugh, cry, scream with frustration, but mainly feel incredibly proud of all your achievements. You are a special group of students and as my first Year 11s in charge of the college, I will always remember you. I hope you all do incredibly well in your exams and all find happiness next year. Always follow your dreams and work hard. Even when things get tough don’t give up, be resilient and keep going. Best of luck Mrs Roach

A Message from College Leader Mr. Turner
Walsingham The end of an era as the sun sets On your time with us, so no time for regrets Your efforts and achievements have been greatly revered ‘The best we’ve ever had’ is what we hear cheered But what we all know, and what others won’t see Is the journey has not always been as easy as A to B Along the way we have had trials and tribulations Challenges that have, at times tried our patience But you know what they say about nothing being gained It is the sense of adventure that ensures real knowledge is attained Though it has not all been hard work and effort For the Academy you have been a fantastic advert As young people you have shone and showed us the way Through your determination and hard work you have made us all say; ‘What fantastic individuals, as a group they’re a pleasure’ With maturity and warmth all in good measure You have come such a long way that it fills me with pride Your qualities aplenty could not be denied Stay true to yourself and treat others with respect To aim for your dreams is what I’d expect You have taken the first steps and done it so well You have all the qualities to succeed, is what we can tell So make the most of each moment and savour the ride As what is most important is your journey inside Mr Turner
