From Street to Sand

As a student, we were always encouraged to immerse ourselves in great art. Every year, we were taken abroad to explore and learn—Italy, Spain, Russia, and Paris became sources of inspiration, excitement, and knowledge. These visits planted a seed in me that continues to flourish even today.

I have never lost the desire to return to these places and reflect on the experiences they offer. The joy of early morning sunshine at a café by an Italian lake, the charm of a rainy winter’s day in Paris, the vibrant bustle of a market with its kaleidoscope of colours and aromas, or the serenity of a summer morning in London—all these moments have stayed with me.

For me, painting is about capturing a feeling. In this new body of work, I aimed to respond to and recollect these experiences, expressing the sheer thrill and inspiration they bring. These pieces are a celebration of being alive and embracing the beauty of the world around me.
