• Community vision: United by 11 life values that were chosen by the whole community of parents, students and staff: Communicators, Honest, Responsible, Problem Solvers, Resource ful, Community Minded, Caring, Team Workers, Respectful, Active Learners, Internationally Minded. The school selects one life value to focus on during each academic month and all the values are interwoven throughout everything that Bangkok Prep does. • Location: One school on two campuses, both in prime locations in the heart of Sukhumvit. The Primary campus is steps away from the Thong Lor BTS station, and the Secondary Campus is on Sukhumvit 77 nearby the On Nut BTS station. • Courses: The Primary school has a thematic approach to the curriculum integrating a variety of subjects through exciting themes such as “Global Pioneers” and “Epic Empires.” Throughout the whole school, the curriculum prepares children for life beyond the classroom by integrating with the UN’s 17 Global Goals, providing sustainable development initiatives, opportunities for charity work and service projects as well as ensuring students are internationally minded. • Curriculum: Truly British Education from 3 – 18 years old. In Nursery and Reception, the Early Years Foundation Stage is followed, and in Year 1 – Year 6 children follow the National Curriculum of England. In Secondary, students have a broad and balanced curriculum in Year 7 to Year 9 that helps them to prepare for selecting their subject choices in upper school. Secondary children complete IGCSEs in Year 10 and Year 11 and A-levels in Year 12 and Year 13. In addition, all students learn about intercultural approaches to learning and working, and develop a healthy mind and body through PE and PSHE. They also contribute positively to local and global communities through community service and have the opportunity to complete an Extended Project Qualification. • Extra-curricular activities (ECAs): There are 136 – 155 extracurricular activities available for students to access, and on average students will participate in 3 – 4 ECAs/week. These include but are not limited to: music, sports, robotics, rock climbing, enterprise projects, inline skating and languages. Bangkok Prep is also passionate about developing children beyond the curriculum with regular house events, service projects and charity work, trips and residentials. There are also extensive opportunities for student leadership such as Eco Teams, House Captains, Change Makers, Academic, Creative Arts and Sports Prefects and Student Council. • Passionate about sustainability: First School in Thailand to receive the sustainability Green Flag award, regular trips to Bangkok Forest Campus for children to immerse themselves into nature and participate in a forest school curriculum. Also, the first school to team up with New Balance to create sustainable sports kits. • Diversity: The school offers a nurturing international learning community with 50 nationalities speaking 30 different languages. Diversity is regularly celebrated through themed days, events and international partnerships. • Community Approach: A city-centered school, with a mid-sized atmosphere due to focus on its community through regular parent workshops, immersion curriculum days, parent forums, themed events led by parents and outreach projects in local communities. • Student Support Services: There are many services available to students including access to counselling, learning support, English as an Additional Language provision, University Guidance Counsellors, a University Enrichment Officer and a Head of Careers and Student Pathways.
