The continent is formed by Australia, New Zealand and other islands. AUSTRALIA It’s the largest island It’s surrounded by the Indian and Pacific Oceans. RELIEF: Predominate plains and plateaus. - In the west: a wide plateau - In the centre: large basins and plains crossed by rivers - In the east: The Great Dividing Range (the most important Australia’s mountain range) CLIMATE: - Desert climate (in the centre) - Humid tropical and humid subtropical (in the north) - Oceanic and Mediterranean (in the south)

It’s made up by two main island RELIEF: - There are many volcanoes on the North Island - The Southern Alps is a mountain range on the South Island. CLIMATE: it’s mainly oceanic RIVERS: are short and flow quickly

MELANESIA: It’s make up of New guinea and several archipelagos. MICRONESIA: It’s north of Melanesia and made up of small islands. Plynesia: is made up of island in the centre and south of Pacific Ocean.
