AUSTRALIA It’s the largest island It’s surrounded by the Indian and Pacific Oceans.

RELIEF: Predominate plains and plateaus.

- In the west: a wide plateau - In the centre: large basins and plains crossed by rivers - In the east: The Great Dividing Range (the most important Australia’s mountain range) CLIMATE: - Desert climate (in the centre) - Humid tropical and humid subtropical (in the north) - Oceanic and Mediterranean (in the south)

It’s made up by two main island RELIEF: - There are many volcanoes on the North Island - The Southern Alps is a mountain range on the South Island.
